Why Necronomicon after Scythe of Vyse? Wouldn't an item with flat, unscaling summons be less effective as the game goes on?

I can support Helm of the Dominator on Exort Invoker though; it might seem awkward to some, but he has Alacrity for DPS and several AoE spells for fast stack farming. There's synergy.

Also, why not just go flat out nerd rice and acquire uber late game items like Satanic and Eye of Skadi over the aforementioned Necronomicon?

I was just testing with necronomicon. I go helm of the dominator so I can trade in damage middle, stack creeps, and with alacrity he turns into a semi carry. But more importantly I go HoD for the net trolls.

Being able to net + sunstrike + meteor + x spell is great. Also the skeleton summons are great pushers, so that's why I had necronomicon with this build earlier cause I was able to have 3 trolls, 6 skeletons, 12 if I timed them out pre-push and alacrity to burst down towers.

I could also alacrity the mana burning necronomicon minion also. If I need to kite or just be mobile in a team fight I can let my minions deal the damage. Alacrity + that mana burn is nuts.


Skadi is a final buy for me with invoker. Satanic is good if I'm gonna go like full on carry build. But exort invoker is a support hero 40+ mins in the game. Your job as exort invoker is just to alacrity your carry, deafening their carry and land money meteor/sunstrikes
