Introduction

Rooftrellen the Treant Protector is a melee strength Hero who excels in executing his ultimate and strengthening the lane by providing his allies greater winning chance during team fights via continuously replenishing their health and proving various buffs + ultimate.

He is also able to become invisible for a limited amount of time if he is close to a tree. His scariest feature is his ultimate...being able to provide one of the longest area disables in the game (3 seconds but 6 seconds with refresh orb!!!).

Treant Protector requires precise positioning to land his ultimate effectively and also the ability to be able to farm and last hit. He has the ability to turn the tide of a fight even if it is 4 v 5 *personal experience* and carry the team to the end.

Phases ( E,M,L )

Early Game

Early game is very important as you need to get your farm up (MAIN GOAL). Till you get your Laning Items fully at around 20-25 minutes mark.

Mid Game

Keep farming and dont stop unless if team needs help with fights. IMPORTANT: Always buy or have at least 2 teleport scrolls in your inventory to either Defend a tower half way across the map...have cheeky get aways or even to teleport to the nearest structure as team fight will be happening or a fight has already happened.

Late Game

Things will be going awesome on your side as Radiance + ultimate *especially with refresh orb* + MoM with auto attacks = OVERPOWERED UNSTOPPABLE TREANT!!

Builds

Build 1 :

This build is only for when around 10 - 15 minutes mark....you are " FARMING " and " KILLING " and EVERYTHING is going well for you.

Build 2 :

This build is only for when around 10 - 15 minutes mark....you are " DYING " while getting " GANKED + not FARMING " and the RADIANT just doesn't seem to be reachable within the next 5 - 10 minutes.

IMPORTANT! : Both builds at the end outcome = DOMINATION

Keep farming and help out during team fights and kill!

Pros / Cons

Pros

- He's a walking TREE....I mean....COME ON....
- Team / Game winning hero
- If farmed can be EXTREMELY deadly
- No specific counters *characters*

Cons

- Can be countered through Opposing team's teamwork and Items *Shut downs*
- Lack of attack speed at EARLY
- The other team will focus you MAINLY during ANY fights as your the DEADLIEST!
- Very item/farm dependent - If not a good early...it can drag to LATE LATE game.
- Eye / Dust can prevent him from being in a good position to use ultimate

Well if you have never tried it you cant really say " IMO " cause you SIMPLY have never tried...and believe me...he is more then an actual carry then a lot of ACTUAL carries...think about it. Your damage output = Base attack damage + radiance + 6 second ultimate (refresher orb) + activation of BKB + MoM...ON TOP of your MKB ect ect. Even IF you were a carry and an ACTUAL ONE *as you say*....being caught in my 6 second ultimate which = 600 damage for the next 6 seconds ON TOP of me hitting freely as you cant cast spells or run....what much of an ACTUAL carry are you? then a person that has been HEX'ed for the next 6 seconds and unable to do anything??....that's just for ONE hero...imagine catching at least 3 - 4 or even 5 people inside you ultimate for the next 6 seconds INCLUDING your teams damage ON TOP *spells and auto attacks ect ect*...just THINK about it. He is only classified as a tank or support due to his utilities and spells but really if you look at him overall, he should never be support....tanky I can see why but support is more then a waste.

and what makes you say that?? I don't really think you see where I'm coming from and what makes this argument / debate pointless if all you can think is inside the box and have ONE mind set....ACTUAL carries....ACTUAL carries...ACTUAL carries....I'm explaining and telling you how and what makes him able to take on and be an actual carry within a team.

Hi Mochiii - I see what you mean about him being a good carry, with carry items and build - but you could say this about any hero? even techies.. :)

but the point is, what if you farmed the same items/gold with faceless void (for example)? he has a team disable in chrono - escape in walk - heal (in a sense) from backtrack (which actually receives damage, but heals you for the exact amount should you backtrack, i believe this is the mechanic here, which is how you still feel the effects of the damage such as slow or stun) + bash, equally high base damage, greater attack speed, and skills that SCALE into a carry role ;)

treant can farm quickly thanks to his high base damage - and can build items quick in turn, but a FV, mort, AM, morph, with similar farming levels would wreck an entire team, with a teammate treant who just disabled everyone with his ulti. it's a 5v5, not treant + 4 vs 5 :-D

That said it's a guide, it's for pub matches - don't see why this wouldn't work :)

Treant Prtoector has no skills that make him a carry. True carries have skills like PA's Crit or Morphling's Morph that allow them to give incredible DPS late game. Treant has none of these skills.
If you build the same items on a true carry, that hero would do more damage than if you built it on Treant.
