I guess normal people only see bane as a support. First item pick up is arcane boots then straight mekansm. But he has a great potential as a steal killer because of his second skill, brain sap. A great nuke damage that does 300 damage at its highest level. You can own with this hero if you played it right.
Use this guide only if you are playing with your friends in PUB. If you use this guide when playing alone with strangers, you will get reported. Guaranteed. If you are in a competitive match like team vs team, do not use this. Just go the typical support build. This guide is for you to have fun and make your score look better than your friend's.
In the early game, you should get any resources you can get without messing with your carry in lane. Harass the enemy hero like a typical support. Nightmare someone to set up a kill, and just use brain sap and hit it. Buy wards and courier if you're the only support in the team.
After you finished your soul ring, arcane boots and null talisman, you can start ganking other lanes. But always find time to farm up your dagon and force staff as it will be the main steal killing weapon.
In the late game, you will be less useless because your ultimate will do very little damage to the enemy hero, but still a good disable for your carry to go and kill. In this phase, just make sure you don't mess up your play because your score will look bad. Enemy carries will always look for the weak support, so get them to sleep using your third skill.
