Personally I don't like the song at all, not my cup of tea. I saw it has 600M views on youtube so I guess a lot of people do like it. I don't think you can say it is overrated since it still has a lot of views and more than 1M likes.

It's that kind of sappy 80s love song I hate. And yeah, it is incredibly overrated from a musical perspective.

Much prefer 'Community Property' by Steel Panther. Not really safe for work though. But if we're talking actual love songs and not satire, then 'Face of Melinda' by Opeth is probably my favourite... possibly through lack of competition, heh.
