He's the worst 35 minutes in, nevermind 60! And i love the guy...

Unless you go all Loda and play position 1 Undying... Then he's a beast. http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1261713791

By the way, no mention of Bane?

Blink in, BKB, Nightmare a guy, Fiend's Grip another. You can instantly remove 2 guys from any engagement.

You're literally fighting any teamfight 5 vs 3.

I agree with the Omniknight and Treant Protector because they both provide huge helps to the team in the late game, obviously Guardian Angel helps out a lot with teamfights and Eyes in the Forest with an Aghanim's Scepter is mass vision and disable possibility for Treant

However I think some of the best late game supports, are the heroes that can sort of support early game and then buy items and carry the late game. Heroes like Alchemist, Kunkka, and possibly even Gyrocopter

GOOD DAY SIR!

^ kunkka cannot support. he is melee, has no stun, pushes lane with one skill.

Gyrocopter.... maybe, with his good nuking power and a stun.

Alchemist is an oke support i guess, not to good, not to shabby

He can support just fine as a roamer with SD. He has a stun in torrent and he doesn't have to skill tidebringer if he goes for a torrent- x-mark build.

You get Torrent at 1, 3, 5, and 7 with one point of X Marks the Spot at 2 and Tidebringer at 4. Especially with the recent change that the only difference of X Marks the Spot between levels is the cast range and no longer the duration of how long it lasts, it is a reliable stun with Torrent and also acts as a good slow. It can actually work decently in certain situations

Not saying it's the best support option, but definitely viable in some cases.

U wot m8

Kunkka has ridiculous CC, just no mana pool. He can initiate out of fog with either of his stuns, and you cannot escape from him without a purge of some kind. In TI4 I'm pretty sure he was never played as a core hero.

^ Alchemist doesn't work because as a carry he already falls off really hard in the late game. Carry Alch relies completely on outfarming the enemy team and getting 6-slotted before 35-40 minutes. If the game goes late Alch gets outcarried very easily. So talk about support Alch, who has no way to get that farm in the first place :)
Support Alch is just an underpowered Venge who falls off after 20 minutes to become only a walking stun, don't play this outdated stuff pls.

Kunkka can work, although he's not the best late game carry either even if you play him mid. Still, if you get the late game equivalent of a mid Kunkka with only 1 or 2 items on your support Kunkka, it's good enough. After all shadowblade/blink + crit is all he needs, a support Kunkka can have that in lategame if he wants.
Kunkka is a good support! You don't even skill Tidebringer. It's all about Xmark, Torrent and boat. Great ganker/roamer/initiator even with zero farm.

Gyrocopter...if you play him as a roaming support in the early game AND if you're doing well, definitely. Only downside is that you're completely dependent on snowballing off the early game to get the farm you need to carry, but if you do well you can definitely make this work. Gyro doesn't need that many items to carry decently, for example Demon Edge + Black King Bar is fairly low-cost and you can get that rather easily as a support, and get the momentum you need with kills.

Kunkka can play support, max X and torrent with boat and you gank easily.
Great in pair with SD/Bane.
