I trust valve with my life.

If I had kids, I'd let them babysit.

If I owned a shark, I'd let them feed it.

If I had a pet lizard, I'd let them feed it while I was on vacation.

I think I can trust them with some silly business plan too.

Well this ruins it for me. I wanted it to be pay to play for 2 reasons:
1. Most people that play the beta without knowing of Dota from warcraft will not pay and many noobs will disappear.
2. Someone will find a way to make a MapHack and that will spread and be updated often and because people play if for free they can make as many steam accounts as they wish and play from them in cause they get banned.

Read this not too long ago, it's cool!

I'd be really surprised if they didn't have skins/hats/accessories. They're the best way of working with a free game model. Obviously, that can't be their only source of revenue, however.

I'm honestly baffled, myself, at it. Gabe has said it's not like any other existing game, which confuses me more.

I'd prefer a paid model rather than the F2P route they seem to be taking, but I'll wait and see how things progress before passing further judgement.

1. Noobs have money, too.
2. Maphacks haven't affected LoL hardly at all, so I wouldn't worry about Dota 2.

I have faith. :)

Usually f2p sucks due to buying of custom stuff or power.
