So i just survived my first 6.82 game with a win(whew) but it was against the new PL. We had an earthshaker so we could shut him down but he was still just incredibly mobile and dangerous in fights. My thought is, although easily killeable with AOE and can be counterpicked in CM, CD, etc., he is going to WRECK all pick games and many SD or RD matches. I suppose he is more of a ganker now, but you guys have any thoughts on his role/impact on pubs?

He's not in -CM so he won't get picked there. But yes, him and BS both seem ridiculously strong, though a big part of it is people not knowing how to play against them.

PL's role is the same imo. It's a lot harder to pin him down with the phase shift, but his illusions don't self-replicate nearly as well, so he can't just spam illusions down a lane like he used to.

In my experience so far, his illusions self-replicate WAY better. It seems like every time he uses Doppelganger, he easily has 8-12 illusions around him in less than 1 full second, even if it just started with him.

He's just more fight oriented than split-push oriented now I think. As a whole he isn't any better or worse than he was, I think, unless you assign him a role.

Didn't he also get a pretty rough nerf too? i don't have the notes in front of me.

Because he's there to cast doppel (creating +2), and the hero has a 40/45/50% chance to create an illusion on attack. But if the hero isn't there the illusions will die out very quickly, and this wasn't the case before.

I really like the new lancer, to me he has been changed more towards how he should be played, that is like a trickster, always moving around and never where you think he is. I think its much better than the old one where you just attack a creep wave for a few seconds then attack the entire enemy team..slowly

I just played a game as PL. It was against unfair bots, but 43-5-12 is insane even for them.

Here an actual ranked match, though my support stole my farm early on, it went well. If someone wants to see the applications of doppelganger, this is the replay for you, jumping through obstacles and into trees , highground for escapes is epic.

He and the new bloodseeker are fun as hell to play. ( Never had a problem with seeker before )

Here is the seeker game, went 31-9-12, 1 kill shy of my record, but due to lag issues i had to rc, the enemy noobs resumed and i got an abandon, then they paid with their puny lives for it.

TO be effective I feel like you just have to have a ridiculous amount of wave clear, as he always just has a ton of illusions. You have to almost have a constant Lesh ult going to clear them out.
