This stretch goal was recently reached by increasing The International 4 prize pool to 5 million USD.

So guys, what are your thoughts about this mode? I think it will be popular when realased for some time, and then it will be like Ability Draft - most people took a look at that and came back to standard modes.

What is your opinion?

i think it will be more popular then ability draft, since 1 v 1 mid is actually dota.

I'm looking forward to this, I'm hoping it will improve Matchmaking simply by giving all those Insta-Pick- Pudge n00bs a place to go where we don't have to suffer them, hell, Hades can even farm them for Ranking 8{D

I'm not looking forward to this AT ALL. Yeah It'll be good for newer players to learn mechanics, but everoyne at 4k are *******s who think they are dendi. the 1v1 MM is jsut gunna be a place to show off their E-Pen and say

"HaHaHaHA! My MmR is XxXx I aM DeNdI, LeT Me MiD U sCrUb!1!1!11 xD :D:D:D"

Valve will have gone full ****** if this mode isn't ranked.

Hopefully this will put a lot of the elo hell whiners to bed then they realize that they're nowhere near as good as 4k/5k/whatever rating they think they deserve. Or at least make them find new excuses.

There's no earthy way of knowing which direction we are going. There's no knowing where we're rowing, or which way the river's flowing. Is it raining, is it snowing? Is a hurricane a-blowing? Not a speck of light is showing, so the danger must be growing. Are the fires of Hell a-glowing? Is the grisly Reaper mowing?! YES! The danger must be growing! For the rowers keep on rowing! And there's certainly not showing ANY SIGNS THAT THEY ARE SLOWING!

The more game modes the better to be honest. Really intrigued about the deathmatch mode and having watched some 1 vs 1 mid battles during Ti3, I think this could be a fun distraction.

I certainly enjoy Ability Draft (not the last game i played - whiffed) !

I'm kinda curious how they want to select heroes in 1v1, all pick is pure ******ness and counter-pick fest, and if everyone can choose 1 hero then it forces you to play at least 2 matches (also - pudge games).
