As KoDyAbAbA said Sven is good, I'd also recommend Dragon Knight as he has inbuilt health regen and armour. Not to mention a decent ult.
Your new diet for heroes; You will need 4 wards (cuz wards taste better), 1 set of tangoes, 1 mango, 1 cheese.
With this you can make a nice Tango Mango Cheese platter. You can wash this all down with a nice bottle of water, Can be flavoured with red, green, yellow, blue, purple AND GOLD!
Caution: Taking roshan 3 times is required.

Lycan is hard.Suggesting Venomancer, that's the hero I learned to play with.

my top 5 of easy to learn, yet high impact strength heroes:

Bristle Back - very easy mechanics; tanky; good snowballer (this means, that once you get a few kills you can start rolling all over the enemy team)

Huskar - THE counter to nukers / casters with little CC; ranged; strong laner.

Sven - a superb carry, if you know how to farm decently; AOE stun; high damage output with God's Strength

Wraith King - basically the same as Sven, only with a single target stun. Hard to kill, thanks to his ultimate.

Dragon Knight - easy to use and can either be built tanky or as a carry.

I'd say either Viper or Drow Ranger for a carry role. Both are relatively straightforward right-click heroes.

As a support role, either Crystal Maiden or Venomancer. Crystal is a fantastic in-lane support due to her cc and harassment abilities, and veno's wards are amazing for a beginner who is learning to be cautious.

Seriously listen to Vash. Veno and Viper. They're both quite durable, have easy to use spells, no real punishment for spamming them, and you almost always win lanes even if you're not mechanically strong. You can farm, push, fight with the team, solo gank, anything really with these two. Top heros to learn if you're just starting.

Honestly, I learned different mechanics by playing heroes who those mechanics are prevalent for. For example, I learned how to last hit/ deny playing Sniper because of his low damage output in the early game so you need to be able to time those last hits if you want to have an impact on the game. Ganking I learned by playing Slark, because the passive part of his ult tells you if enemies can see you. (More often than not it's because of a ward so this also tells you where to put wards while supporting) I learned how to play the mid lane by playing Queen of Pain because she can easily get to the rune and back without sacrificing much exp or gold. Just generally things like these things so that you almost are forces to learn these skills.
This post is the most important thing you have read in your life.

Plz dont play sniper or drow unless you are playing against complete trash players, you are hurting your team more then theirs by picking them.
