..but then I realised that every single match has Drow and Sniper in it. Then it started sucking because I realised that unless you have downs syndrome or some other form of ******ation in real life, it is impossible to do badly on those heroes.

It is just plain annoying that I have to face those 2 nearly every single game.

Fair enough in higher skill brackets there is counters for these I am sure. But I am just starting out and the skill level and heroes that get picked vs those 2 = no chance.

Frost arrows on auto cast is a joke and snipers auto stun without even having to press a button is equally as mind boggling.

PS: is there a game mode where you can perma ban those two from being picked? I am sick of it. It ruins this game for me, honestly, it's a foregone conclusion at the start of every match. The winner is whoever can pick those fastest.

Just realised I got drow as my DP. I mean I started out playing as Drow until I realised how ******edly easy it was.

I know from experience that unless you have some major skills on a lesser used hero, Drow is pretty much just auto win.

Play my favourite mode All Random. If you get a hero you're bad at you can always swap/repick. If you're uncomfortable with that, then go for Single Draft or Random Draft. I stopped playing All Pick a long long time ago.

I never even knew about that thank you so much.

A little trick I found against drow and sniper: in low level pubs (I'm in them too), drow's users don't silence, and snipers don't level shrapnel.
So take Phantom Lancer and enjoy watching them killing illusions why you pwn their head (avoid it if there are hero with big AoE).
I don't think it will work on higher lvl, but, with almost 200 games (total, with pl they are only 8... not so much, I know it), nobody never countered me with PL.
They just ult, other skills, then autoattack all illusions, then you pop up from invis and kill them why they're defenseless.. and at this lvl you don't even need that much of farm: power threads, magic wand, diffusal blade lv1 is usually enough.. then I farm heroes for butterfly.
Let me know if I helped you
Just to say, in a game they picked huskar, riki, viper, drow, and shadow demon.
So, 4 single target autoattacker. My team were already saying: "OMG, what a noob team, they won"
I asked a teammate to pick a support. Farmed for 20 minutes, getting some kills during that time (1 or 2 really). Meanwhile, drow and huskar where getting kills and freefarm.
Then I got diffusal.
Ended with 18 kills, 0 death... and when I said this "Riki, Drow and Huskar: fake autowin".. their shadow demon just said "yeah.."
SO, end of the story: pick an illusion hero, you'll f**k them up

Here, to fix your drow problems.

Step 1. Pick Drow Ranger.
Step 2. Wait until all people has spawned in their fountain
step 3. Repick a hero that are fully balanced.
Done.
Everybody needs a second hand, that's why i exist!

You can also do least played. Forces you to play someone different and is pretty much a guarantee there will be no drow or sniper

if you see someone pick drow in low pub games just take a hero that has a so much more fearsome lane presence. i'm getting to 500 games and always laugh seeing drow picked. go pudge, batrider, templar.. just some real mid hero. not saying she's not strong mid, but i don't think i can recall a game where i lost hard against drow with one of these heroes. pl outcarries drow and sniper just so hard, when you finished diffusal and got vital/reaver/heart they can simply go home if they haven't a really coordinated support team that always track with dust. the key against those heroes is to not feed them like stupid. if you have a potential jungle hero, make sure that **** is warded so she can't get simple pickups there. if she's missing you should always have a ward on either side to see if she's coming. let her wait in the jungle for that 5 minutes while you stay under your tower and only get that xp, she will loose mid when she comes back and your mid hero is a lot more fed by then. if, on the other hand, you just let her roam freely, get those precious kills she will set you back to zero, your mid hero will have problems dealing with her and she can snowball out of control. same thing goes mid: don't over commit, wait for the right opportunity, play dumb and when she get's up those steps to your tower hook and rot her to death, or blink and insta lasso or blink, meld, trap, refraction her dead. she is so squishy actually, but ppl tend to panick when drow is coming near, they seem to forget that. get a early bkb to **** the slow and the silence, get up close and kill like everyone else. always carry a dust if you want to srsly kill her (it's like 90g for having that awesome advantage). if she's dusted she will think twice about commiting since she can't just run away if it goes south.

btw ta easily harasses her out of lane if that noob picker doesn't really commit to sustain. just always position right, dont be afraight to destroy some last hits for yourself or push the lane a bit. if she commits to the hp trade she won't get last hits. and you can always blink-trap her ult away in a teamfight. just do it, even if it kills you, she wastes time and concentration on you whilst you carry (hopefully..) destroys her team.

if drow is srsly the 1. in the enemy line up, pick sth like pa. you just pop your bkb, slow and blink to her. just watch how your crits destroy her when that huge dmg boost is gone. getting up close is the key to very much limit her tf potential.

tl;dr pick a better mid hero (if you have an idiot already picked sniper against drow, be the good guy support and ward, ward, dust, ward, and setup kills in that lane). pick a carry that likes it close and personal in fights and watch her dmg boost melt.

That is an incredibly good response. There are just two problem. The first one is the original poster seamed satsfied with the other answers. The second is you created a necro thread.

I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your response, however you could put your time towards other helpful things.
My lone druid starting items are 12 Iron wood branches, 6 for the hero and 6 for the bear. Even if the bear does not get stats more twigs are OP on any hero.
