guys guys.... it seems that there is a bug in the first beta updates on lycan. The health is still the same as before even though the mana cost and the tooltip has changed.

so i test it again and my best time (without any help) is 13m 30s to get vlad, medalion, and quelling blade. He can still roshing without any problem but his early jungle is now hell. mostly because of the lack of mana regen to sustain the spirit wolves and the spirit wolves died too quickly before he can regain mana. I find it that i keep hogging the courier all for myself when i did this which is not gonna happen in the actual game (i actually used it like 5-6 times to keep deliver some clarity potion).

Later on, i asked my friend to play as a crystal maiden and laning with a bot (to share the exp), he took lvl 1 aura at lvl 1 and lvl 2 aura at lvl 4 which is the standart CM built. It is indeed helps a lot with the mana problem and i can get those items in 11 min marks as before.

My conclusion is = lycan is now officially crippled in jungle, he needs to be at lvl 4 and have a medalion to survive jungle. Otherwise, he needs some extra support in anyway possible to help him through the early stage, be it few extra clarity pot from the support, chen share creep with him and he use chen's creep aura+atk, or crystal maiden mana aura. OR he can be played in a totally different playstyle which is a carry playstyle. His damage with 2nd and 3rd skills are ridiculously high which makes him into a more viable ganker at early game. At lvl 9 without any items, i have a total of 150 attack damage with howl and his 3rd skill.

Anyone thought about Doom Bringer becoming a rather effective jungler?Anyway, nice info, but I still can't play Lycanthrope anymore. They just broke it to dust.

Doom Bringer can be a jungler, he can farm pretty easily by consuming the strongest creep and killing the others, also, he can stack and use the tornado from the creeps to do the job.

I feel like you just have to lane Lycan now. He is still quite powerful and can still get decent farm. His wolves feel so useless now though. So little hp :\

If people have played the original Dota, people usually lane Lycan till about lvl 3 then jungle from there. Sure you won't get every last hit, but as long as you get a decent lvl up in your wolves it makes it easier to farm and not have them die quickly. Also people need to realise that just cause you can summon, doesn't make it illegal to pull creep waves and have those tank it for you. I always do so to save on mana and hp. The nerf just changes your reliance on the wovles to other means.
