ok so brand new to dota2 and the way items work screws with me. If i remember theres a search bar for items which would be awesome. ANYHOW my question is, what do you keep when the time for new items comes up, do you sell them do you stash them? i'm just not sure how it works :(

Ok so from your base you can buy mostly anything you want, and indeed there is a search bar at the top-right corner of the dialog of the shop, and some items require the secret shop, which you can find if you right-click an item from the secret shop, then 2 exclamation points will pop up where they are. Hope this helped.

it has thank you, now if i can just get the hang of the courier and when to switch out items.

Ok so if you open the shop and buy what you want, and you're not in your base, it'll appear in your stash, and that way you can have it transfer to you is that you press the little green arrow in the bottom-right hand corner and it'll bring you the items only if it's in the base.
If the courier is upgraded you can just do what you were doing last time, but now you can press f2 and then press r (like your ultimate) and it'll get the speed boost.

That's right. You got it mate :)

If you buy items from the shop and you aren't next to the shop, they'll be placed in the stash, and you can get the courier to deliver them to you, using that button at the bottom of the screen.

Also, if you buy items from a secret shop and you aren't next to it, the items won't be stashed, you have to be next to the shop to get the item, you or the courier.

Oh and I got a question, one time I remember playing NS and I was gonna buy phase boots, so I buy Boots of Speed from the sideshop, and a while later I buy both Blades of attack at the same time via right-clicking on the phase boots icon, (I wasn't in the sideshop's range because the creeps were hugging our tower) and since the sideshop has it, I thought I could collect it from there, but I realized there was no "take from stash button" so I just inconveniently had the courier bring me the 2 blades of attack. Is there any way to have the items from the stash be transferred to your inventory like that, or is there something wrong, idk.

You mean, you were at the tower, you bough Phase Boots from the lane shop, and they were sent to the stash? That's because the game considered you bough them from the main shop since you weren't in the range of the lane shop.

If you wanna buy from the lane/secret shop, you must be in the range of it, else the items will be stashed. (Only if the items you buy from that shop are also in the base shop.)

No, I bought the Boots of Speed then awhile later I bought the 2 blades of attack while not-being within the shops range on purpose, and when I went back to the sideshop after being away from it due to the creeps being near our tower, (like the lane later got pushed) it couldn't complete my phase boots, so I had the courier bring it from the base.

Yeah, because the items get stashed in the base if you aren't in the range of the shop. They get bough from the main shop if you aren't near the lane shop.

Yeah so like I was wondering if you can transfer items from the stash to my inv. from the sideshops... which I can tell it you can't
