Downloadable right from Dota 2 main menu.AFAIK Ranked is disabled for a while, and custom games work. Nothing changes significally though, for example, horrible hero pick lag spike still remains as they say.

also you can't hide your profile and mmr now lol

Well I am yet to test that - I have to reinstall Dota 2 on another drive because I lack free disk space, so it will take some time, maybe 3 hours, I dunno. But these changes are to my liking so far(except maybe new fat mid - I guess you can't place wards on enemy mid highround now otherwise I don't see the reason why would they do that(and why remove the possibility of that ward in the first place)).

Edit: nvm, it just shows the loading screen with logo and then just closes itself. gg ty volvo brilliant as always.
Okay, fixed. You still suck Volvo.

I'm not sure I like those map changes, especially the ones to cliffs and rocks and such. Perhaps it adds mor detail but the actual shape of the rocks looks waaaaay less natural. They look a bit more like tf2 style modeling, which is, in my opinion, what dota should be steering away from.

Ew the new rocks are gross. And just me ore is dire side way darker and nasty now? I don't think I like these changes.

I find it quite funny that over on /r leagueoflegends, there's thousands of people wanting to migrate to Dota because of Dota reborn, and the Dota 2 playerbase itself is nitpicking over it. I mean, we all have a right to point out what we don't like, but Valve just released CUSTOM GAMES (my new crack), and the client -> various other changes. So what if there's some rocks which don't look as good?

Disable Steam Overlay in settings, it should work. Alsoyou can check cash integrity if it doesn't.


Rocks-shmocks, what does it have to do with it crashing, what does it have to do with illusion item sell abuse, what does it have to do with the most ******ed custom games system ever and ****ty servers?

Is it possible for serverside lag to cause stuttering in the game itself? Since I don't exactly have a high-end computer, but it should be able to run DoTA 2 with the settings I chose, but ping seems to be jumping to the clouds, which seems to have some kind of a correlation with my freezing and stuttering.

Haha okay I guess your right, but I'm not personally a big fan of custom games and most of my time whithin the client is spent playing the game where I have to look at those rocks. Someone transitioning from league (a.k.a ****tiest graphics in a MOBA 2015) might like them, but they don't appeal to the players who are already here. Besides, I play a lot of support for my team, and so I'm constantly putting **** in those rocks lol
