My Viper Guide

Hey all. I just started playing DOTA during the beta for DOTA 2, so take it easy on me. I will greatly appreciate any feedback, as long as it's constructive! I'm still getting a hang of the game play, but so far I have been able to do fairly well with Viper (probably also helps having some decent team mates!). I'll keep this short.

Skill build is pretty simple: Max Nethertoxin first, then Posion Attack, and finally Corrosive Skin, all while leveling Viper Strike when available at 6, 11, and 16.

Lastly for the items. I always double slippers, double tango (lets me stay in lane longer first time around) to start. Then depending on how well I have done I got for boots of speed, wraith bands, and power treads in that order. If I had a good farm/early laning phase I can come away with both wraith bands and power treads early. Once I have these I start to fly around helping initiate and finish (Nethertoxin FTW) ganks. Then I go straight to Vangaurd for the ability to survive and deal more damage with those nasty toxins. Lastly I have never seen Crystalys/Daedalus on a Viper build, but I feel that the crits work nicely with Nethertoxin, one big crit and Nethertoxin starts to eat away faster at your opponents life (and the added damage doesn't hurt either).

Let me know what you all think!
