Introduction

Hello and this is my guide to playing vengeful spirit. Venge is a very useful support throughout the game with the ability to scale very well into the late game and provide a great early game presence.

Pros / Cons

Venge is a great hero but like all heroes has her downfalls

Pros
solid stun
late game relevance
armor reduction
amazing positioning
ranged
damage aura

Cons
limited mana pool
squishy

roll in the game

Vengeful spirit is a versatile hero with massive late game potential, but Venge is first and formost a support. Venge should be played as either a 4th or 5th position hero or if your team 3rd position. Venge is a support and should be played as one.

Skills

Magic missile
This is a great single target stun and nuke. This spell should not be used to harass because of the high cost to Venge's mana pool. This should be maxed first.

Wave of terror
Wave of terror is a aoe armor reduction/nuke. This should not be used to nuke as it does not do that much damage. But the armor reduction is the huge thing. This should be maxed second as it would amplify your teams damage the most for the early game.

Vengance aura
Vengance aura is what lets Venge so well into the late game. But because it is percent based it is not very good early game unless you are teamfighting a lot in the early game. As such it should be maxed last.

Neather swap
Neather swap is Venge's ultimate and is very powerful. Catch a fleeing enemy and shove them into your team. run from a chasing opponent by swapping as them and running the other way buying you valuable seconds. As well as the change in positioning during a fight, and the initiation

Items

Every hero needs items so here are Veng's
Veng is a hero that can be played a variety of ways. Odds are that you are going to be playing support so buy animalcourior wards and regen with your starting gold. If you are lucky enough to have another player buy wards or animalcourior buy some stats.

Early game

Now you need bootsofspeed for the move speed Bracer for the cheep hp and we are going to upgrade it later. Upgrade the courier to a flyingcourior and refresh those wards. A magicstick is a great pickup early game for a little bit more survivability. And finally a townportalscroll is a must always carry one on you it is far too important to not have one in your inventory, to help a teammate or save a tower or win a fight.

Core
Now I have more than 6 items in core because dota is a game that changes so you need to have choices. First off boots arcaneboots the mana pool and team regen are so valuable as a support. drumofendurance is an amazing item it grants 9 to each stat a move speed bonus and an attack speed bonus all in small parts it is one of the best items in the game. mekanism aoe heal and armor every team needs one every game. forcestaff the positioning makes it a great item for the team. aganimsseptor lowers your ults cd down to 10 seconds making it a spell that you can use regularly good pick up but should not be rushed. ghostseptor if you are being taken out by physical damage pick this up and get a few more seconds of time to survive at least also it grants some nice stats.
