Introduction

Ursa is by far, one of the most powerful late game hard carries, but to get there, you need to ensure your survival early game and try to conservatively gank when you get the opportunity. Hopefully, this guide will get you there.

Early Game

This is where Ursa is most vulnerable. Try to conservatively attack creeps, and if the hero you're laning against has high physical damage and a good nuke, try to get out of the lane. With Ursa, I recommend taking the easy lane (bot on radiant, top on dire.) If you manage to make it past the laning phase with few or no deaths, the you'll be good for the mid game.

Mid Game

This is where Ursa starts to shine. At this point, you should be at least level six, and have Vladmir's Offering. If you have these, and leveled like I showed in the build, It's time to solo Roshan. I will describe this in more detail later. At this point you can start entering teamfights and selectively push towers. It's also at this point that you should start jungling for gold and experience. During this phase the items you should get are: Phase Boots, Bloodstone, Shadow Blade, and Battle Fury. All of the other Items you should get during late game.

Late Game

This is where Ursa becomes the "Ultimate Ursine". At this point you should begin ganking, joining teamfights, and killing Roshan as often as possible. You should be buying all the rest of the items in the build as you go. At this point you should be at level 16-25. Begin to actively attack the enemy's base. Try to get the aegis as often as possible, it will let you push for long amounts of time.

Soloing Roshan

You should begin doing this in mid game, when you're level 6 and up and have Vladmir's Offering. Enter the pit with Enrage and Overpower already active. Use Earthshock whenever available, and keep using Enrage and Overpower. Make sure if you're only level 6 that you have full health and mana, failure to do so will cause an early death in the pit. ONLY IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 50 HEALTH SHOULD YOU EXIT THE PIT! Vladmir's Offering should give you enough lifesteal to stay alive, and adding enrage to the lifesteal will mean that you'll be getting 30-50 health back per hit.*

Friends/Foes

As Ursa, you're going to want lane partners with good stuns and silences. They will leave enemy hero's wide open for punishment from Enrage and Overpower, and if they try to get away, Earthshock should slow them down enough to allow you to finish what you started. Foes of Ursa are few and far between, but certain ranged heroes with slows and stuns, such as Drow Ranger and Sniper, can cause a quick and painful death. Also you're absolute worse nightmare on the battlefield is Terrorblade, whose Sunder can quickly bring you to your knees.

Pros/Cons/Conclusion

Ursa has many pros. He is capable of dealing massive amounts of damage in a very short span of time, and he's just about the only hero capable of soloing Roshan at level 6. His cons are his weakness to ranged heroes with stuns and slows, but they can easily be counteracted, just watch out for Terrorblade though.

This has been my guide to Ursa, I hope it has been helpful to your Dota 2 endeavors.
