Introduction

Hi everyone, just a heads up this is my first guide as well as this being a somewhat experimental item build. We all know that pudge has move speed as well as mana issues, and this build seems to have solved it for me. This is not a guide explaining how to play pudge, but rather item build suggestions and hints.

Item Explanation

Bottle: 100% needed for pudge to keep him in the game due to his early game mana issues during his ganks.

Wards: I always get wards, especially if the teams support does not. These are a must for pudge as without vision he because less useful. Plus if you get the wards you can place them yourself in the positions that you like best (considering you know your own play style). If I can manage a first blood I always get boots and wards with that money so that I can keep getting kills mid.

Phase Boots: The extra boost of speed is a great help of the early game sluggishness, not to mention the extra attack damage is very useful. I personally like phase boots over arcanes because the extra mana isnt needed once Eul's is built.

Eul's Scepter of Divinity: This is THE core item in this build as it helps eliminate the need of mana and the slow move speed. Combined with the phase boots move speed will be increased greatly, and as long as there arent many careless hooks, mana should not be much an issue as long as you have bottle charges.

Heart of Tarrasque: Depending on how my match is going I will try to buy a heart first if I have a lot of money early and we need a more durable hero. Heart gives extra strength for damage, HP, and regen which along with pudge's passive, makes him very tanky. If the game is more evenly matched I will often invest in another heart to make pudge that much more tanky so that heroes have a harder time killing him and can last even longer tanking all that damage for your carry.

Aghanim's Scepter: I tend to buy Aghanim's less often as I already have stats that I could need from other strength items or stacks, and inteligence isnt needed due to Eul's. However, if I am making more solo ganks on a more durable hero, and need to extra damage output I will buy it. I only really buy this item if my team's carry isnt doing as well so that I can add more to the dps. Overall a good item considering the stats that are given and the extra damage output given as well as the healing.

Hood of Defiance: I tend to get hood instead of heart if I am behind in farm and really need the extra resistance and HP regeneration. It is a core item for most builds and should be depending on how the game is going of course. If you have a lot of stacks and a lot of gold, there are better items that you can put that gold towards.

Blade mail: Great item to get against agility heros or nukers that burst you down such as drow, sniper, etc. However, due to pudge's ability to close gaps very quickly with his hook, you can often get the upper hand on these heroes with a good hook and positioning. If they are winning and doing more damage to you than this would be a good item to have.

Boots of Travel: Very rarely will I get these considering move speed isnt really an issue due to phase boots and Eul's. However, if I have the extra gold and want the ability to TP more freely, then I will purchase them.

Conclusion

I am 100% open to suggestions and edits so please feel free to leave comments. Also just so that it is known, very rarely with this build do I find myself needing more mana as long as Im not careless with hooks, but even sometimes when I am it is still fine. As a reminder to everyone, vision helps win games and aggravates people when you have a pudge with good vision, if your supports wont buy wards, you should! If you think anything else should be added let me know. Pudge is a fun hero, especially when ganking (so I think), and this build has allowed me to not have to worry about the usual issues with pudge. If wanted I can also add a guide to how to play pudge with this as well if people request it.
