Introduction

Introduction
Hey guys, welcome to my guide!
I don't consider myself a noob or a pro but rather resourceful. I've always wanted to have my own build guide and I thought why not start with an amazing hero I got hooked on, Anti - Mage. Everything about him is cool and I have even gone back to like my skryim days. Well hope you like this build !

Backround on thee Anti-Mage!

"Straight from hero backround"

The monks of Turstarkuri watched the rugged valleys below their mountain monastery as wave after wave of invaders swept through the lower kingdoms. Ascetic and pragmatic, in their remote monastic eyrie they remained aloof from mundane strife, wrapped in meditation that knew no gods or elements of magic. Then came the Legion of the Dead God, crusaders with a sinister mandate to replace all local worship with their Unliving Lord's poisonous nihilosophy. From a landscape that had known nothing but blood and battle for a thousand years, they tore the souls and bones of countless fallen legions and pitched them against Turstarkuri. The monastery stood scarcely a fortnight against the assault, and the few monks who bothered to surface from their meditations believed the invaders were but demonic visions sent to distract them from meditation. They died where they sat on their silken cushions. Only one youth survived--a pilgrim who had come as an acolyte, seeking wisdom, but had yet to be admitted to the monastery. He watched in horror as the monks to whom he had served tea and nettles were first slaughtered, then raised to join the ranks of the Dead God's priesthood. With nothing but a few of Turstarkuri's prized dogmatic scrolls, he crept away to the comparative safety of other lands, swearing to obliterate not only the Dead God's magic users--but to put an end to magic altogether.

MUST KNOW ABOUT ANTI-MAGE!!!

He quite a carry mid - late game, very level and item based.
He has a blink in his abilities which can become very very useful from ganks to escapes.
He can be shut down though. He is NOT a counter to Outworld Destroyer(Trust me it is tough)!
He is not a support and not tanky!

My Build

My build is fairly simple & allows the hero to be played with more fun and with more ease.
You will need to farm up though and be wary of what your team is doing, as soon as the battle fury comes, items come fast. If you get your team to push towers early it will help and remember deaths in early game will give you quite a disadvantage and slow your carry late game down and possible result in a loss.

Skill Justification

Level 1 Blink

My reason for getting Blink at level one is that it stops the other team from having any chance at ganking you early & provides that escape you will need. As well as when going for the rune and you manage to get a player very low health but manages to just escape that blink could get you first blood.

Level 2 Spell Shield
I get Spell Shield at level two because it gives an absolutely insane early game bonus. This spell gives you 26% extra magic defense at level 1 which is a massive positive as almost every hero will have some form of magic damage coming your way (they like to harras)! Helps to get last hits and then blink away so they don't rape your heath pool to much

Level 3 Mana Break
This allows me to last hit ranged creeps & harass enemy players a little, this is were the fun start to come but becareful not to become creedy or cocky. They will get scared because of the extra damage early game and that they can't use spells because of their little to no mana left! When they run and return to try harras you now you should have gained enough farm for an extra level , Booya!

From there start to even it out:
Level 4 + 5 - Blink
Level 6 - Mana Void
Level 7 - Blink
Level 8 + 9 - Mana Break
Level 10 - 20+ Damage
Level 11 - Mana Break
Level 12 - Mana Void
Level 13 + 14 - Spell Shield
Level 15 - 20+ Attack Speed
Level 16 - Spell Shield
Level 18 - Mana Void
Level 20 - +10 All Stats
Level 25 - +20 Agility

SOME KEY ITEMS

Power Treads + Boots of travel
These boots are a real little gives you that much needed agility or the health regen if needed! Boots of travel will give you that evasion (Blink then start your TP) and that ability to help your team anywhere and push lanes then retreat.!

Battle Fury
This item is probably the most important item for Anti-Mage. He's a hard melee based carry. FARMING !!! Your advantage and farm is crazy. Also cleave damage! A dumb team could feed you a rampage with it !

Vladmir's Offering
Life steal is awesome on Anti-Mage. It allows you to jungle and also to grants you survivability during team fights or ganks.

Butterfly
Self explanatory. By the time you get a Butterfly the other team should be crying for mercy at your feet. This item grants everything you need. Evasion, Attack Speed, Armor, and Damage.

Heart of Tarrasque
Heart is also self explanatory. It gives you that survivability you need as Anti-Mage and also lets you stay out of your base longer. When you're not in combat that huge hp regen can sure be helpful.

Skull Basher or Abyssal Blade
These two items are both extremely helpful on Anti-Mage. They allow you to stun enemies and generally when I stun them they don't survive through it.

Friend OR Foe?!?

Friends should help through the entire game. The foes are going to be people who cause you quite a lot of annoying trouble.

Friends

Crystal Maiden
My reasoning behind this is the fact that she needs almost no farm to be successful which means you can have it all!
Witch Doctor
His stun is great for you.
Venomancer
This character doesn't always have to have farm. Stop playing him dumbly Veno people. He's a support! He also has a helpful slow!
Ancient Apparition
Slow plus Anti-Mage can blink and shatter enemies.
Jakiro
Ice wall. End of story.
Enchantress
Heals and a slow? What's not to like?!
Chen
Heals and he can pull whenever you need without taking to much damage.
Leshrac
Lets you go right into pushing whenever you want to plus he has an awesome stun!

Foes

Spectre
He has Dispersion and don't think he wont build a Blade Mail on top of that.
Nyx Assassin
Yes I know you rape him late game but early game he destroys your mana.
Silencer
Same problem. Your mana gets owned.
Lifestealer
Fml. Why so much life steal?!
Centaur Warrunner
He's just overpowered as of now.
Outworld Destroyer
Just be careful around him. You don't need to lose your intellect you already have low mana as it is.
