Hello Denoray,
I think it is better to to use Offlane or top-lane (Radiant)/bot-lane (Dire) instead of using the term "Safe Lane, The safe lane is the solo lane opposite of your jungle[...]", because it is a 'safe'-lane for the opposite side. In pub-games the formation tends to be a 2-1-2, where each line has two heroes from your team occupying it, and the mid lane is solo. Tri-lanes are rare and are commonly used if a team has a 3-man-party, that's my experience though; and of course in higher level pub games.
