"The best defense is a good offense" is what I'd like to say for this build. There's so much defensive items that you probably shouldn't have even picked Slark in the first place if you needed those items. Slark is a hero infamously known for abusing teams with insufficient lockdowns, so you shouldn't be needing most of these items if you picked him in the right game. Also, Battle Fury > Hand of Midas because Battle Fury just gives you more xp and gold in general as the game goes on. It also has the cleave which can be super devastating in teamfights and great for pushing down waves quickly even without Dark Pact. There's just too many benefit to pass up so yeah, no Midas.

Why midas and not battlefury in this meta? Do you really get that many defensive items? How do you kill anything?

midas for more xp and gold. attack speed is nice too, but mostly gold for items later on.
