Rexxar is a powerful ganker. He usually soloes mid, using his pig + axes to control the lane. Afterwards, he can use his fairly low cd on his ultimate to get near-guaranteed kills, while his aura boots the fighting capacity of the whole team. Building up to Necrobook 3 will help keep your ganking strong throughout the game.
Rexxar can also be a great ward killer with a Gem and his beasts being able to see and attack high spots.
