I'm unsure why people find the necronomicon so weird lately?I myself can hit tab mana burn targets and auto attack. I feel it is a good core for omni because one other than soul ring and wards what else does he need? Mech? He has purification sure 2 heals are great but it's not a game changer. Necronomicon allows you to body block with degen aura. Also mana burn if your not comfortable picking it up go with a safer pick. Like mech. Boots of travel is a well worth investment it allows you to push the lanes and be with your team in a matter of seconds.
Omniknight is a supporter. His heal doubles as a solid nuke (but it's very situational). Degen aura gives him a useful role in ganks and his ultimate makes his entire team safe from physical damage for a while. The real reason to pick him, however, is repel. This targeted BKB is amazingly powerful... too bad it's countered by diffusal.
Guardian Angel should be used in the heat of a battle (instead of as an initiation or excape skill). It also doesn't prevent magic damage/nukes.
