Hello my name is iNValiD or Tim and this is my first guide to nyx assassin as a support. I was annoyed when i first started playing nyx assassin as a support to see no guides for him in this role. So after many games of playing him i decide to make one for myself.
When i play in competitive games or in pub games i generally take the role of the 4th position support. This means im the person to the the 4th most amount of farm. nyx fits this position as a support.
Nyx assassin is one of the top tier bans of the current moment and is o fears he basically never is not banned in the first ban phase. He is so feared due to he ability to get a whole team stunned through impale and spiked carapace. Also he he so strong because of spiked carapace. stunning enemies on there attacks and reflecting the damage.

Deep in the Archive of Ultimyr, shelved between scholarly treatises on dragon cladistics and books of untranslatable spells, there is an ancient tome of entomological curiosities. Compiled by scholars, the book describes the telepathic talents of the zealot scarab, a strange species of social insect with abilities unique to all the seven planes.
Unlike most grubs of his colony, Nyx Assassin did not arise from metamorphosis with the plodding thoughts and blunted appendages common to the worker caste of his kind. For his was a special transformation, guided by the grace of Nyx. He was the chosen one, selected from the many and anointed with an extract of the queen goddess herself. Not all survive the dark blessing of the queens chamber, but he emerged with a penetrating mind, and dagger-like clawshis razor sharp mandibles raking the air while his thoughts projected directly into the minds of those around him. Of all zealot scarabs, he alone was selected for the highest calling. After his metamorphosis, he was reborn, by grace of Nyx, with abilities which shaped him for one thing and one thing only: to kill in the name of his goddess.
Pros
-Can solo intelligence solo
-Best defensive spell in game Spiked Carapace
-Great initiation and chase once you get blink dagger
-Best support ever!
Cons
-Sentry Ward shuts down your imitation through vendetta
-Silences counter your best spell / survivability (Spiked Carapace)
-Man-management is a problem
-Only real bad thing is hes melee (makes it hard to harass opponents in lane)
[*] Early Game / Lane phase
In order to get levels as a nyx assasin support you have to pull and get lots of kills. Nyx is great in a lane because of his stun, his nuke through mana burn and defensive ability through spiked carapace. You want to get to level 6 as fast as possible. Once you hit level six this is when the mid game starts.
[*] Mid Game
This is when the fun starts. You should be roaming to every lane picking of as many heroes as possible. try and kill the lonely supports by yourself or with others and the opposing teams hard carry with help of others. This way you will put the opposition so far back on farm and allow your carry free farm basically. Also try and get your blink dagger in this region of play. This will make your ganking so much more powerful. With the correct use of items and spell you will become a master ganking machine.
[*] Late Game
By now you should have your blink dagger. This means you will have great chase potential, escape through the combo of spiked carapace and blink dagger and initiation with the combo of your stun and blink dagger. This is the time when carries start hitting hard. normally supports would be easy kills but with spiked carapace you'll reflect the carries damage and stun them for 2.75 seconds. this time allows your team to get an easy kill on their carry, resulting in a push generally.
[*] Whole Game
You as the support should be purchasing wards, dust, smoke and other team items of the sort for the team. This is because you don't need that many items to be effective. You don't need defensive items because of your spiked carapace and vendetta and your damage is amazing from your spells.
Starting Items
Buy the tangos, claritys and branches. the next part is to buy the courier or one of the wards. just work out with the other supports which one you will buy.

Ever hated it when Queen of Pain blinks to you and ults you. Dont you with she took that damage. Well pop spiked carapace all the damage is reflected. Also it stuns her. WINNING
