Morphling is a hard carry - his Morph skill can give him an effective 5 AGI growth per level (if you convert all your STR) and Ethereal Blade + Adaptive Strike can deal massive damage. Meanwhile, Waveform and Replicate and Morph allow him to farm safely all game long while still being able to show up at important team-fights.
Travels give you insane mobility for farming, but only get them if you are going really well. Manta can be a nice substitute for Linkens if there are no single-target spells on the enemy team.
When in a though spot, Morph STR points for a "pseudo-heal".
