Introduction

This was my favorite Hero in Dota and this is how i build her.

POTM is quite possibly the best and fun Hero in the game if you play her well and have a good grasp of positioning in teamfights.

She is a roaming ganker.

Items

Bottle, to steal runes as all of them are important for different reasons. It also gives you an amazing laning phase.

Power Treads, Give an attackspeed and Agility increase, these phaseboots, and boots of travel are all good options for different reasons.

The Sange and Yasha, Quite possibly her best item. Gives her everything she needs.

Eye of Skadi, This item has amazing stat boosts for POTM as well as stacking slows with Sange and Yasha meaning almost guaranteeing safety or kills for you or an ally.

Monkey King Bar, The ministun procs for 100 extra damage help, can be substituted for a manta style if wanted. Really just a player preference.

Daedalus, After MKB/ Manta Style this will just make you unstoppable, can be Butterfly before also player and game preference, but I perfer Daedalus before Butterfly.

Butterfly, POTM's goto last item. A must have item to finish any build you choose to run on her.

Skills

Starstorm her only AoE ability, great to level early for farming and killing. When u land a sick Arrow nothing is better than getting close to them and watching them die to a double starstorm proc. Tip: be close for higher chance of proc.

Arrow Her main ability. This separates the average players from the greats. The best feeling in the game is landing a 5 second stun and knowing that person is gonna get owned during that time, or finishing someone with an epic arrow. Tip: try to land from long range to start teamfights, only fire at point blank if absolutely needed.

Leap allows you to catch people and get away, Player preference again of course you can level this before stats, but stats allow you a stronger early game. Tip: can be used to escape and/ or to clean up kills after an arrow.

Moonlight Shadow Useful in teamganks and team fights. Known in this guide as invis. Tip: really only needed as a level 1 spell, as the lengthening of the duration of invis is not more important than her other spells.

Team Work

Landing Arrow from afar to lead a fight, use invis and let tank and such go in or if arrowed unit gets instant killed save invis for getting u and another teammate to safety post fight.

Use starcall once in center or near 3 people. Really important to hit as many people as possible with this spell.

Leap to get positioning. and focus on either finishing a straggler with arrow, or using arrow to start another hero.

Her job in teamfights is to be the ranged AD.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
+ Arrow = best skill in game for ganks.
+ Leap allows good mobility
+ Starcall is a good overall nuke for teamfights.
+ Team Invisibility
+ Most balanced hero in game in terms of worth learning and starting out with.

Cons:
- Arrow isn't always easy to hit, it is a skillshot.
- Leap can put you in a bad situation if used wrong.
- Starcall makes you get into danger range for max efficiency
- Squishy until fed.
- Not a good 1 v1 fight it out hero. her job is to assasinate.

Summary

Assasin position.
Roam alot.
Terminate swiftly.

Master quickly.
Attack from afar.
Stay low out of deaths wake.
Time spent on good arrows is better than rushing fail arrows.
Execute correctly.
Repeat.
