Madness Ranger (pure dps drow ranger)

Introduction

Thank you for visiting my guide to Drow Ranger.

Since the Huge buff patch, I start to switch my previously perma-frost-arrow with this new Pure DPS oriented build, and for Pure DPS I mean, literally. You dont have to press anything except your hotkey item (well maybe a silence sometimes¦ if you are in trouble, but its really hard if your enemy is dead after 2 secs) and wait for the gold & XP .

I played a lot Drow Ranger and I think she's an incredible Hard Carry, her dps on late game is impressive, Its not the way to play Drow Ranger, its my way and I like this game style. Prepare to be offended for the non-skilled frost or silence, it's part of the build, but it worth.

I suggest this guide to newbie or people who are on an mid-low tier in matchmaking cause this kind of build is really easy to play but against a good team (and for good I mean teamplay and knowledge of the game) things gonna be harder.

Pros & Cons

Pros: MASSIVE DPS in late game. Ranged, useful for early harassing and for let the enemy team away from your creep wave. 1 man team: you can play solo lane, gank on mid and then do 1vs5 in late. Good animation, with some points on aura you will have a good lh/deny management.

Cons: Squishy (really) , this mean you gonna have fast lifesteal and be CAREFUL when you gank/stay on solo. Must be on second line. If she'll get focused as first hero on team fights she certainly die without taking any advantage for her or the team. Expensive and very farm dependend. No escape mechanism. Just your legs and the max speed from mask of madness (and that means +30% of damage taken)

When to pick / Friends & Foes

When to pick

Pick Drow when...

there are no carry on your team (or you know the guy who pick carry is terrible or russian) there isn't Phantom Lancer on enemy team. you want to relax and pubstomp with no worries Team with squishy heroes / supports / slow [newcol] Don't pick Drow when... You see a Phantom Lancer you team have already a good carry, drow ranger is boring if you can't get kills & farm. Friends & Foes Friends Vengeful Spirit: The perfect support laner for Drow Ranger, she grants additional dps with command aura and her stun grants easy kill on early game. Shadow Shaman : Another good laner with drow ranger, he's shackels garants you precious seconds of free damage to the enemy hero. Ether Shock is good to before the harass. Any stunner or disable is good with drow ranger. [newcol] Foes Phantom Lancer: If you see him, run.

Skills

Description Skills:

Frost Arrows : Useless.

Silence : it's should be useless but i recomend 1 skill on it because you can start the gank with it and be sure that no one will stun you or disable when you'll stump him.

Explaination for skill build:

Everytime i play this build with friends they ask me why didn't i put Frost Arrows and Silence up. The Answer is easy: After early game you'll never use frost arrows just because you already have Mask of Madness that grants you speed and atk damage to easily kill with just few shots. In early i focus on doing lh e harassing the enemy on my lane, i don't go for kills.
