Buy Tome of Knowledge at min 10 in most cases. Harass enemies with auto attacks early game. Sinister Gaze is a strong pulling ability to punish enemies out of position.
A Good combo for 1v1s, which you SHOULD not have by the way, is Frosty Shield on you + Ice Spire bonus skill + Chain Frost and a gaze at the end. Mana is your worst enemy early game so be careful, having a lot of cast range end game is very powerful.
