Getting To Know That Person With The Weird Accent

Luna is pretty interesting in the fact that she can be used as an early game push fast and win hero or can try and take it late (though there are other carries that carry better than her). She has insane built-in farming mechanics and can take towers with ease and farm the incoming creep wave at the same time. Her biggest draw back is her range...she is basically a melee hero but with a ranged health pool (though this changes later on). Hero aura is nutso and if you build a team around it (i.e. get a Drow and Venge (all aura teams are super fun to run)) you can pretty much roll the game with a little coordination and good ol' fashion 5 man doto. I will also mention here that the skill build isn't set in stone except for a few things:

    1. Lunar Blessing at 1 is always a good idea. Your Q is weak and uses too much mana to be useful
    2. Max your Lucent Beam first
    3. Always get Eclipse when you can
    4. Don't get Moon Glaive too early since it will push the lane. I usually get it when marked (unless going stats build then get it earlier)

Early Game

Last hit yo. I can't really coach on how to do that through text so I'm going to assume you can. Focus mainly on last hitting and if you can deny without missing CS do so. Once you have lifesteal and preferably one point into Moon Glaive when the lane gets pushed too far and you're not looking to take a tower head into the jungle and farm. Remember to try and stack when possible, if you get to a game at :50 wait the three seconds and stack it first to get most out of the game. You're going to want your boots/helm/yasha in a pretty good time and with Luna it isn't hard to achieve. Just remember to always be farming and have a tp on you incase a fight breaks out. If a team fight occurs and you have your ult and preferably level seven of Lucent Beam tp to the lane and drop that ult. Your ult is incredbily strong at the starting of the game but remember it randomly hits anything in the area including creeps. When you use it try to make sure it's just hitting heroes and if possible try to focus on one hero. Remember to cast Lucent Beam during your ult as well.

Once you have your Helm of The Dominator make sure you take over a creep and use it to stack your ancients. Generally taking over a ranged creep makes this a much easier feat. If you can't/don't remember too you can always share your control of your creep with a support and let them take care of it as well.

6 Slotted Baby

So out of the end games items you should get the other item from the above part (i.e. if you got BKB get a manta). Next up you need to take a look at what you're facing. Do they have a lot of right click? Grab the Butterfly. Do you need more survivablity? Get the Satanic and if you need more get the Skadi. Raw damage? Grab the deadlus. Do they have lots of evasion? MKB would be the way to go. Lunas end game can be flexible once you have your BKB/Manta. Also remember to use Boots of Travel to help put pressure on other lanes as well

Conclusion

There isn't much to say about Luna. She's fairly easy and straightforward. All you need is some decent cs and some levels and you can farm up all your items in a good time. She is realble carry that can come online and get some kills at 6 and helps push with the team if the decide to do so early. Her levels in her aura makes your team a beast at right click and most times the enemy team can't really deal with it.
