Lycan is a strength type hero which makes him good for ganking,carrying,pushing,jungling.He also have a great movement speed which makes him a good escaper and a good hunter.
Lycan's attributes are increased in the mid game which is a good time for farming.(I recommend buying a MORBID MASK first for the Vladmir's Offering)

-Lack of mana in the early game
In the early game you will be weak, so I recommend that you build Power Threads for addition of damage. For building the Vladmir's Offering I recommend that you should buy the Morbid Mask first, so that you can start you're jungling. You should be able to finish building the Vladmir's Offering and the Skull Basher(But don't forget to help you're ally from defending your tower). Keep on farming until you have enough money for building you're items(But don't get to carried away by farming).
In the mid game you should be able to kill you're hero opponents and destroy enemy towers, and by doing this you should be able to have some money to build the Assault Cuirass. After building the Assault Cuirass you should be able to defeat Roshan and get the Aegis of Immortal.(I recommend that you ask for help for defeating Roshan,only to defeat him faster,but you can also take him alone because of the lifesteal and stun you have).
In the late game you should be able to gank enemys in any lane,just don't get to carried away on ganking. You should also be able to survive some clash. When you get the Heart of Tar***que you will be hard to kill because of it, also if you have the Abyssal Blade DON'T forget that is clickable and that the stun is not passive anymore,also the Black King Bar will be a good help for you when going into a clash.
You should start with the Summon Wolves so that you will have a sidekick when you are attacked by an enemy hero.Then you should pick Feral Impulse so that you will have a greater damage for creepings and a faster health regeneration . I always take the Howl last because when ganking it gives you a bonus damage and life.
As for the Talents you should choose the 200 Health for hihger health for ganking,choose -25s Respawn Time so that if you die you will only have to wait for a bit to respawn again and go back to the battle,choose 15% Evasion so that if you go to a head to head battle you can dodge some attacks which will be a great help for keeping your health bar full, and finaly choose +15s Shapeshift Duration so that you can chase enemies a little longer or you can escape further.
