Introduction

This is a small guide for people looking for alternate ways to play broodmother. I myself play a variety of ways for many different heros, and have found that few heroes have a single 'set' way of playing. What is less important than playing in a way that works for most people, is playing in a way that works for you.

Anyhow, this guide follows a stratagy that i have found to be very effective. I wont give an overview of the hero, i will asume you are already at least familier with Broodmother. This guide will set you up to be a lane support to start, and later a hard pusher (if done correctly one can total a tower in under 2 seconds.)

NB: This is my first guide, so i hope there will not be any missing parts ;)

Items

When you spawn, buy a Ring of Protection and a Soul Ring Recipe. Then go to one of the secret shops and buy an Orb of Venom.

As you build up money from laning, buy the items need to upgrade to Tranquil Boots, and then Soul Ring. Hand of Midas should be next, and then Malstrom. Once you hit level 10, sell the Orb of Venom, as it will no longer work.

From this point laning and farming will be priority. Buy a Boots of Travel Recipe, as well as a Morbid Mask, Sage's Mask and a Vladmir's Offering Recipe. Then Return to you base, and dissasemble your Tranquil Boots for the remaining items. The rest of the items you attain from this point are situational. Common sense dictates that you upgrade Malstrom at some point, and the combination of Daedalus and Battle Fury can see you wipe out a whole creep wave in a hit or two. If you are finding yourself being ganked to much, a Heart should allow you the HP reserves to effectivly flee or fight. Any other items should be desided by the enemies own weeknesses and you own preference.

A quick note is that you will see I havn't included Radience. This is because it can be a big giveaway to the enemy team of where you are.

Summary

This play style works best on the side lanes. Everything you need to buy at start is situated in the side shop.
With the combination of the Orb and your Webs you can be a vicious hit and runner. The Health regen bonus and the ability to heal combined with the Webs easy ecape allows you to take alot of damage, then retreat and heal very quickly, returning to fight again. The aim of this is to leave the enemy constantly wary of moving in for the last hit.
Another good tactic is to hit an enemy if they begin to heal health or mana (exept from tangos). If you act quickly, you can make their consumable a waste.
Hand of Midas will help you gain early gold, as Broodmother isnt a great hero at last hitting, and the extra attack speed will compound with Orb of Venom. Malestrom will help you push lanes and can be one of the best items for farming early on.
