Take mid. If not, any other lane. Try to stack Jingu's mastery on the enemy once you hit 3 or 4 already. Dive in and use Boundless Strike for the killing blow or immobilizing the enemy for one last hit or two. Get gold and kill. Always try to dominate the mid lane before roaming. Get blight stone or orb of venom depending on the situation. Learn what is more important. They both help to get Desolator or Eye of Skadi later in the game. Ring of Aquila is a good item for stats but if you wanna skip it, its fine to do so.
Nearing to the 15 minute mark or more. Try moving around the map getting kills. But if your team isn't setting up enemy for a kill try not to waste time moving out of the mid leaving the enemy midlaner alone. Try to use Tree Dance for mobility as it helps to jump from ledge to ledge or out of the lane. But be careful as the enemy might see you jumping from tree to tree, do it in the fog of war for goodness sake. Start building Echo Sabre and Desolator as quickly as possible to snowball the match. Items after this depends on the enemy's line up and hero skills. Black king bar for immunity against stuns, Diffusal Blade for slowing slippery enemies, Bloodthorn for bursting and silencing heroes like AM, Nyx, BH or NP. Remember to get Jingu's Mastery before using Boundless Strike.
From here on out, getting good ulti here is pretty crucial as they can deal damage while the enemy is focusing down on your teammates. Remember to get Jingu's Mastery as it can get pretty messy in a teamfight. Don't try to fight enemies with multiple stuns or it would not matter. Take them one on one. Remember choose items wisely. Butterfly for damage and evasion, Monkey King Bar to counter heroes like PA and items like Butterfly.
