Faceless Void: guide to rampaging

Introduction

First thing I want to point out, ultimately everything is up to you. Faceless Void is a pretty simple hero and if one uses common sense they can figure out what they should get on him. His abilities are situational. He is the hardest carry in the game. If he can deal enough damage while his chrono is up he can potentially get a ramapage, thats the idea anyway. In reality it is very hard to pull something like that off.

Abilities

If you are against something like a sniper max backtrack ASAP that will completely counter him and stop him from annoying the hell out of you. If you are against something like a bristle breaker combo (which is amazing btw) max time walk first. If you are offlane against something like a dazzle and a luna then max time lock cause your gonna be able to get a lot of kills. When i say you should max something I dont mean only get that ability though just make sure its maxed first still get at least 1 point in the other abilities by level 6. I usually get 2 points in 2 (e.g. time walk and backtrack) and then 1 point in the other (e.g. time lock) before getting his ult.

Here is some info about each ability:

Target Point
Rushes to a target location while slowing the movement speed of all enemies along its path for 3 seconds.
Cast Range: 700/900/1100/1300
Max Travel Distance: 700/900/1100/1300
Slow Radius: 300
Move Speed Slow: 20%/30%/40%/50%
Slow Duration: 3
Cooldown 19/17/15/13 Mana 90
Passive
Faceless Void dodges damage by jumping backward in time, eluding both physical and magical attacks.
Proc Chance: 10%/15%/20%/25%

Passive
Magical damage
Adds the chance for an attack to lock an enemy unit in time, stunning it and dealing bonus damage.
Proc Chance: 10%/15%/20%/25%
Damage: 40/50/60/70
Hero Duration: 1
Non-Hero Duration: 2

Target Point Units
Creates a blister in spacetime, trapping all units caught in its sphere of influence and causes you to move very quickly inside it. Only Faceless Void and any units he controls are unaffected. Invisible units in the sphere will be revealed.
Cast Range: 600
Radius: 425
Duration: 4/4.5/5 (Can be Improved by Aghanim's Scepter (* shows the improved values). 4/5/6)
Cooldown 130/115/100 (Can be Improved by Aghanim's Scepter (* shows the improved values). 60) Mana 150/225/300
Can be Improved by Aghanim's Scepter (* shows the improved values). Increases duration and decreases cooldown.

Items

As I have previously, the items are potentially all situational. Everything is good on him if your in the right situation, the attack speed increase given by MOM is amazing but the increased damage you take when its on is not always worth it and it makes void somewhat reliant on his chrono which is why, if you get mom it is usually a good idea to get an aghanims (mom=mask of madness btw). The build you should always go for, at least at first is a the safe lane, decent farm build. The reason why i changed it up a bit for mid/solo offlane is because you usually don't get much farm in those situations. I have never gotten a battlefury in solo offlane or mid. This doesn't mean its a bad idea though, if you get free farm in those lanes by all means go for it but you probably won't.

Combos

Combos are always good, they can ensure a win if their good enough even if the players aren't that good. Faceless Void combos include heroes that can do things outside the chrono to those who are in the chrono. These heroes include:
Sniper
Skyrath
Zeus
and probably more...

Sniper is obvious, because of his range. Skyrath can make use of the hold in place with his ult. Zeus gets time to do TONS of damage. A good chrono initiate with a Zeus usually means a team wipe if the void and zeus have got enough levels and items.
