concise guide to carry slark

Playstyle

This guide focuses on the pubstomping slark. Whereas you can play slark mid or offlane, or even support, this guide focuses on the carry guide.
I normally only start with a quelling blade and tangoes, becasue with the proper support, you wont need more. Make sure though that you are not up against an offensive trilane. ( Picks like undying or aa should ring warning bells). In order to farm a fast midas, which will really help you to acelerate your farm and lvl gain, you should practice la****ting under th tower. Youu should have your midas around 6-7 minutes into the game, but I have had anything between 4-9 minutes depending on your lanesupport. From my experience it doesnt really matter if you have your midas a few minutes earlier or late, what matter is not to die and never to flame your support, no matter how bad your support is. From 10-20 minutes you are most likely to loose the game, try to farm up and only tp to fights if absolutly neccassary. Carry a tp scroll at all time (duh). Once you have farmed your treads and shadowblade you can actively look for ganks. Supports are easy pickoffs now and you will be able to solokill them.
Also dontt forget to switch your treads to int, before you activate shadowblade to gank an enemy and only switch them back after you used pounce. This will help you to deal with your early game man issues.
Once you have eye of skadi you are a beast, and you will be able to solokill basically anyone. AN extra basher will help you with those enmies that jsut tp out.

Depending on what is needed you should then go for the optional items. If the enemies have a lot of stuns (such as tide etc), silences, or hexes you should get a bkb.
If the enemies strongly depend on physical dmg, go for assault cuirass.
If the enemies mainly consist of melee heroes, a mjollnir is quite helpfull.
Most of the times i go for butterfly or mkb after the core items.

Pros / Cons

+ very versatile
+ hard to kill
+ fearsome ganker
+ fun to play

- ****y stat increase
- needs proper support early game
- easily shut down early game
- no antipush

Friends, Foes, and easy Pray

Friends: It is quite important to have 2 good supports on lane.

Foes: Any heroe mthat is strong g early can really shut you down.
A special mention also goes for doom with aghs and bloodseeker. Do not pick slark, if the enemies have picked doom or bloodseeker.

Eeasy Pray:
Do pick slark if the enemies have picked a carry sniper, drow, am. Slark excells at killing the enemie carries if they are squishy and rely on good positioning.
