Chapter Title

Hey guys this is my first guide and i hope it helps alot of Dota players out there that struggle with Anti-Mage. This stratgey guide will teach you how to become a great carry, and in result win the game!

Introduction

The monks of Turstarkuri watched the rugged valleys below their mountain monastery as wave after wave of invaders swept through the lower kingdoms. Ascetic and pragmatic, in their remote monastic eyrie they remained aloof from mundane strife, wrapped in meditation that knew no gods or elements of magic. Then came the Legion of the Dead God, crusaders with a sinister mandate to replace all local worship with their Unliving Lord's poisonous nihilosophy. From a landscape that had known nothing but blood and battle for a thousand years, they tore the souls and bones of countless fallen legions and pitched them against Turstarkuri. The monastery stood scarcely a fortnight against the assault, and the few monks who bothered to surface from their meditations believed the invaders were but demonic visions sent to distract them from meditation. They died where they sat on their silken cushions. Only one youth survived--a pilgrim who had come as an acolyte, seeking wisdom, but had yet to be admitted to the monastery. He watched in horror as the monks to whom he had served tea and nettles were first slaughtered, then raised to join the ranks of the Dead God's priesthood. With nothing but a few of Turstarkuri's prized dogmatic scrolls, he crept away to the comparative safety of other lands, swearing to obliterate not only the Dead God's magic users--but to put an end to magic altogether.

Summary

The key for Anti-Mage is Farming throughout all of early game, and most of mid game. FARM FARM FARM! KS if you have to also, such as mana voiding to get last hit, the gold and xp you receive will help greatly. If you are the Dire and the Radiant are pushing bot, let your team handle it. Stay of team battles for now, until you get some of your core items. Once you acquire Tread, Vanguard, and Skullbasher, you can start to join team fights, but do not get cocky, otherwise you will die cause you are nowhere near a carry yet and your farm game will get screwed up. If your farming game has gone to plan, you should start heading for manta, giving you a great advantage cause most players in the game will only have 1 or 2 items at the time. You on the other hand have 3. One you get Manta, you should definitely start ganking and be very involved in team fights, at this point you are carrying your team. Items you want to get after manta will be: Butterfly and Daedalus, i rarely get these items cause by the time i do the game is over cause of how much owning you've done.

Creeping / Jungling

jungling is necessary mid game, i jungle to get Skullbasher quick. Another good way to jungle is if you are laning (early game) and you have reached you opponents tower. Once you have done this, fall back and jungle, you will need a flask or 2 because you will be very squishy early game. Once your opponent has pushed back into your lane, go back into the lane, and remember you need to try your best to get last hit. Its very important to your farm game. repeat this tactic until you get your proper items and then start ganking and what not. This tactic is very effective and will give you a great farm game.
