Introduction to Night Stalker

Of the Night Stalker, there is no history, only stories. There are ancient tales woven into the lore of every race and every culture, of an impossible time before sunlight and daytime, when night reigned alone and the world was covered with the creatures of darkness--creatures like Balanar the Night Stalker.
It is said that on the dawn of the First Day, all the night creatures perished. All, that is, save one. Evil's embodiment, Night Stalker delights in his malevolence. He created the primal role of the Night Terror, the Boogeyman, and as long as there have been younglings, his is the specter summoned to terrify them. This is a role he relishes; nor are these empty theatrics. He does indeed stalk the unwary, the defenseless, those who have strayed beyond the lighted paths or denied the warnings of their communities. Night Stalker serves as living proof that every child's worst nightmare....is true.

These are things told about the Beast of the Night, what can we say about him?
Well, he's a great ganker, does well with farm, and can eat the *** off of pretty much anyone. He is nearly the best character in the game due to his agi and strength gain being so huge, as well as having that buffed with other items and seeing items that benefit him most get huge buffs. He's banned in most games, he's fantastic when he isn't, and he fills both the tanky carry role and the right clicker with a little bit more complexity to make him shine.

That's right, I play Night stalker as a core, so what?

I play night stalker as a position 1. Be that in the Mid lane, offlane, or safe lane. I play him like I need all the farm, which you don't, but once you get into the swing of the game It just feels incredible to beat the living **** out of everyone you come across and punch everyone in the gut as hard as you can.

When I'm forced to play him as a roamer, I prefer to just hang around the mid lane and farm the jungle until I get SUPER STRONK and can take on anything the enemy can throw at me.

Play him mid, you'll see what I mean.

Early Itemization

The opening core items bring our boy to the forefront of the power that you can have, with the iron branches and your high base armor and your high strength gain you can beat almost any enemy laner because once you hit 6, you just leave. scoot, scram, git.

but in more detail,
2 gg branches and a mango
build into wand, duh.

tangoes
to eat the trees and get bonus regen.

gauntlet of STRONK
lets you last hit better and gives you bonus health regen, what more can I say?

>keep in mind, you can **** this up as much as you want, but always buy a gauntlet and you should be fine.

when you're mid
start with a bracer and just do everything I tell you to do and you should be fine.

The full core items can be adjusted, but I find, phase, urn, aggs I prefer to go aggs because it gets you that OP night vision.

Phase boots,
for the speedy-quick dash and the bonus last hit damage, the benefit of his absolutely massive stronk and agi gain means that he only has to build a few stronk items to make him better.

Urn/vessel
while I find vessel to be highly useful, Night Stalker doesn't even need the benefits of urn after the second or third natural night. The healing it provides helps, but you can do it after then with just natural regen.

Aggs
the big daddy, the best aggs according to Sunsfan, got of aggs creation, this aggs lest you have UNRESTRICTED vision at night, with a character that HAS AN ABILITY THAT CAN MAKE NIGHT HAPPEN EVERY 60 SECONDS. yeah, you bet you want this.

Itemization+(after aggs, now what?)

quick sidenote, optional read. *many people may tell you that basher isn't core on Night Stalker, I say it is because it builds into one item that he wants, abyssal. Abyssal is optional though, the active stun is nice, but often it's a little too much with your q's mini stun and slow during the night time. We love this item as night stalker players, it's our bread to aggs' butter. You can build basher, or you can build Midas for a radiance, whatever you want my kiddos.

In this section, I will be explaining the situations where you want to finish certain items. These items are pretty fantastic and make night stalker better really nice. if you have any questions, ask in the comments, and yeah, I'll leave it to the analysis.

THE EASIEST TO FARM
Midas
-midas gives you gold by killing a neutral creep, it's cooldown is a little under a minute and the total cost being 2750 is a big setback, but if you just want the attack speed and are planning to just jungle farm for the next 2o minutes, I'd rush it, by buying gloves of haste and a set of tangoes at the start.

Force
-use this when your flying, vision, and slow fail you. I'd buy this after aggs, but you can surely buy it beforehand.

Blink
-do you know that you want to be the master of surprise? do you buy smokes and play night stalker as a p4? fine, buy blink and be a boring jumpscare hero.

Armlet/MOM
-these items can be used to make something about night stalker better, they make him STRONK and better to deal with some specific targets. sidenote-*buy armlet after aggs, buy MOM in the midas build, or after aggs if you're not doing that*

Deso
-straight damage item, use this one if you need to rip through armor or just need more damage to structures.

MODERATELY HARD TO FARM ITEMS
Echo sabre
-not exactly a straight damage item, although it essentially is one, gives you bonus damage and everything else you need, by that I mean more attacks without actually increasing your attack speed.

HOT
-Survivability item, rush it after aggs if you want it, or go it last, get it whenever your natural armor isn't enough to actually help you anymore.

Blade Mail
-For a bloodseeker, run away at night time or manfight him. go this after aggs, preferably immediately, although you're probably fine replacing urn with this if you're getting a lifesteal item before aggs.

BKB
- Is there some ***** on the enemy team that multistuns you? is there just the character disruptor? yeah, get this one. Probs buy after aggs, aggs is more important.

LINKENS
- **** dude, you sure? alright. go this after aggs, maybe as your last slot.

SOLAR CREST
-great item, use this one anytime, even replace urn with it once you have it and you need to open up a slot for tps or something.

LATE *** GAME ITEMS
ABYSSAL
- get this when you need to lock someone down hard or when you can't rely on your team, the bonus strength is just kind of a bad HOT, which isn't that bad because of the bonus health and HP regen.

RADIANCE
-get this one if you need a radiance carrier on your team or if you're stomping and want a damage item other then MKB, I would go this item after aggs, if not, the buy it like fifth or something or sell urn for it.

MKB/SKADI
-I like these both because of the damage they give you and the added extra right click doodle. Go Skadi's if you need a slow, go MKB if you're up against a PA or a butterfly carrier, you can go these after aggs, at the same time as aggs, or last of you feel like it. I personally go Skadi's fifth in most of my games.

HALBRED/DIFFUSAL
-Buy one of these if you need an active disable/debuff that make someone not attack you either st strong or at all. Go diffusal if you want manaburn and go Halbred if you need some evasion and a disable you don't have in your kit. some people think this is overkill, i think that they need to watch the MMR after the game and see whose goes up.

What are these things bound to my ability keys?

ya first boiVoid
This ability is the primary one you want to skill at first level, it gives you nice last hit potential, beneficial trading and can do all the things you need a level 1 nuke/disable to do. (it also mini-stuns at night, breaking TPs and other chanelling spells.)
