He can mid, yeah, but most mid heroes really own him.

He's easy to gank, no disables at all, not very tanky till later in the game, you have to play really safe with him.

I'd say yes and no, depends on the game. I enjoy playing him mid though, he's fun later on when you have the farm.

Necrophos mid isn't that good but he sure is annoying, his Heartstopper Aura pushes the lane so you can never get runes without losing out on a lot of exp. It also means they he can harass you from 1200 range.
Gr8 b8, m8. I rel8, str8 appreci8, and congratul8. I r8 this b8 an 8/8. Plz no h8, I'm str8 ir8. Cr8 more, can't w8. We should convers8, I won't ber8, my number is 8888888, ask for N8. No calls l8 or out of st8. If on a d8, ask K8 to loc8. Even with a full pl8, I always have time to communic8 so don't hesit8.

That's what I'm getting at, if he is powerful late game, and his Heartstopper Aura can harass so much! then he's gunna get a lot of xp

I wouldn't say that Heartstopper Aura pushes the lane.. It's more of a longterm effect, and by the time the creepwave has died it would only have dropped their health a few percentage points.

I like getting him mid for the fast level 6, which can help you get a quick kill at 6 if used well with your first skill.

Heartstopper Aura is so good against those tank heroes for example Pudge which is likely to be in the midland! also Heartstopper Aura can stop pudge getting in good hook position in the long term.

Heartstopper Aura is just so annoying. Because it is % based it is pretty much good against all heroes, as it will be dealing the same amount of damage all game.

Against Meepo it's the funniest thing, all Meepos are being damaged hard all the time, so he can't just send say 1 back at a time to base or to safety.

Necro mid, yes, definitely!

Necro is a hero who can have essentially 2 roles : #4 (rich support) or #2 (solo mid or solo safe lane), and whether he's a support or a semi-carry is a very controversial topic in DotA, I think both roles suit him well.

Ha can't really "lose" his lane except against a hero who has enough burst damage to kill him from full HP (e.g Huskar). If against a harasser like Viper he can simply max Heartstopper Aura and zone him out. Max aura kills someone from full HP in about 1 minute.

Necro is a bit of a weird solo mid because he's NOT a ganking mid, he's a pushing mid, a bit like Death Prophet. You don't waste your time ganking the sidelanes with this hero, he's horrible at it, it's better to just get Mekansm and push with your team.
