So i want to ask about the map balances... not just roshan, and stuffs, but also lenght, high grounds, ward spots, jungle locations, etc.

Radiant jungle is, imo, weaker. The 3 camps are easily and quickly infiltrated from the dire offlane AND the rune, not to mention one of them is the small camp, and the other 2 requires long journey to traverse. Dire however has 3 camps, only one medium and the rest is large. It is also far from the offlane, though still breachable from the rune. Dire is easier to traverse and safer also, while radiant is more vulnerable and harder to traverse.

The mid is hard. Radiant has the near ancient and high ground advantage, and requires some time to traverse for a gank. However, the high ground may just backfire due to the nearness to the tower. Radiant can be easily ganked from the bottom side, although it requires traversing the jungle. Dire might just be better yet. The high ground is far from the tower, and the juke spot near the tower is very visible. Probably even, but dire's simple lane might be better.

About roshan... dire has nearness to him, yes. But he is also open like a gate to the radiant side. And the roshan ward is actually backfiring to dire. Early game, put ward there, gank offlane. But it can also be used by the offlane, but people used smoke anyway and they would need to tank the tower.

Juke spots are hard. I see MUCH MUCH MUCH more juking actions from the radiant safelane than the dire's. This may be due to the tower in radiant is closer to the juke spots. Offlane got some juke spots, i'd say the same. Mid definitely goes to radiant side. And the rest is probably even, although i cant bear the fact that there are enclosed paths in the treelines that is often utilised with a blink on the dire side.

Ancients.... radiant is harder to traverse, but secret shop is farther for the dire OFFLANE. Not sure bout' this.

but im a noob so who gives a **** about my opinion rite?????

but hey leave your opinions below since mine is ALWAYS wrong

As for jungling i find the Dire much easier to get around (though, you stated only one medium and the rest large, from what i can tell both have 2 small, 2 large and 1 medium.), but said that i prefer jungling on the radiant side. Sure the jungle may be a bit easier to infiltrate, but you have always got the small and hard camp near the midlane to work with pretty safely. The Dire side do not really have this. Once the jungle has been compromised there isnt really a fallback. If you are jungling radiant i think an early turtle ward is all you need really. With that and maybe a little lane support you should have no problem getting that early Blink Dagger (likely).
The main edge i think the Radiant have with jungle's though is access to the Dire's Large camp to pull lane with. This can be very useful.

For warding i think i prefer Dire side spots. But this works both ways. The secret shop ward, eye above Roshan, 2 defensive eyes and cliff by the stairs (by the left hard camp) are very good ward spots for different stages of the game. But these double as offensive wards so it doesn't really matter which side you are. Though i do think Radiant have good spots also (middle of the jungle stairs, stairs near secret shop, both defensive eyes, left side cliff) so it is a very close call.

I think they have taken any Roshan advantage out of the game. The only advantages i can think of is that it is technically on the Dire side, so it makes courier trips (for exchanged items) shorter, and it is nearer the Dire's secret shop. Are these really even advantages? I don't know, but it's all I've got.

All in all, i think it is very close. The main factor for me preferring Radiant is that it is lighter, making it a litte, and i mean little, easier to see things.

I am i the same boat as you. Very much a N00b, so all this could be just me!

My 2 cents.

There is really no "balance" between Radiance and Dire, unless you want to make both sides' terrain perfectly identical, and also there must be 2 roshan unless you want to place it on the center of the map.

IMO, for jungling, radiance side is easier if you have blink and dire is easier if you have high movement speed. Radiance has more offensive warding advantage while dire has more defensive warding advantage.

Anyway I think the current position of roshan is much better than pre-6.82.

Dire have only 1 "safe" camp while Radiant have two when the tier1 mid is up. Other than that though I think the angle for ganks is a bit harder if the target is on Radiant because one side is cliffed while on Dire you can abuse the lowground trees allowing for an easy two way approach.

The Radiant has all advantages except for Roshan that's why Roshan is on the Dire side.

The radiant mid is much harder to gank, has better jungle acces ,their offlane is easier, and then can pull the wave to 3 camps.
