You're asking to choose what's better; a farming tool or an end game DPS item. -.-

Who ever told you to rush a MoM isn't a very good player, there are two routes to farming with FV. Midas -> MoM (or) Perseverance -> Battle Fury, you then use these items to get enough farm to get items such as Daedalus and other such carry tools. Battle Fury is not a mid game pick up, its either rushed before 20 minutes or not picked up at all.
