Comparing LoL and Dota 2 is like comparing,Soccer and Soccer in Mud. Some might say Soccer in Mud is more Fun and Creative, but it will be still Soccer in Mud and people if will ever watch it gona watch it only for the lolz. But Soccer is serious bussiness not all game are equaly entertaining or Fun to watch, but some games wil always will be full of suprises. Real Soccer have serious Leauges around it and people make living of it. I don't thnik someone can make big cash from playing Soccer in Mud. Real Soccer reaquires talent, hard traning and even luck. In real Soccer you need good teawork and individual skills to win. Offcourse you can say that Soccer in Mud needs that too, but in much smaller proportions. Cuz it's not balanced(because of all the mud and stuff) and games will get repetetive. But games like Soccer always will be at the top in competetive scene and will be fun to watch.

P.S. I only called Football Soccer so i wouldn't confuse american players.

All these words are not needed to compare the two.
Owning people in Dota is much more satisfying that in LoL. You can't surrender in Dota which leads to more ownage and closer games!
The steep learning curve in Dota allows people who do know the game to enjoy owning noobs more!
Mess with the best, die like the rest.

Don't worry guys I'll solve this.

LoL is noob friendly and can be played while eating a sandwich with your other hand.

Dota requires more skill and overall, more thought. This makes it more competitive and has focused on the important aspects of an AoS (MOBA).

Don't worry guys I'll end this.

LOL is one of those games that anyone can pick up and have a good time. Notice there are more people who have LOL LAN parties, practice/private games are much more abundant and even casual players who just play AI games all day.

DOTA is played mainly for the competitive scene, most of the people who are not are LOL players or the people who just play because it's a game that everyone is raving about. Countless people I know have given out keys to friends who BEG for this game, then stop playing it because they don't want to get better after finding out how tough the game is to learn.

To simplify the LOL vs DOTA conversation: Do you like to play checkers or chess.

It's just that the developers at riot are, quite frankly, ******ed. Dots will release with different game modes (and custom game modes) replay, spectating (not just custom games), extremely smart bots and a system where a bot can take the place of a dc or afk player. Riot still hasn't don't this and they have had an extra two years over valve. I just hate LoLs stupid easy gameplay, **** community, and stupid developers that can't get anything done.

IMHO they are two completely different games. So, they should not be compared.
I play both and I prefer Dota2 most times (but that's just me, i have a friend that owns Dota2 too and prefers playing LoL most times).

I agree with Atlas, he isn't even bringing in talk about the gameplay, but the developers at Riot are atrocious. Valve has gotten more done in their development phase than Riot has over the course of 2 years + 1.5 years of development. If you say that it's because it's Valve, well if I remember right, Riot has a huge staff taking up three entire buildings in two countries iirc.

Yeah I'm planning on ditching LoL for the reasons Atlas stated primarily. The community at LoL is so horrid. Anytime a champion is nerfed everyone goes berserk for their favorite champ and says everyone else should just adjust how they play. Why don't they adjust and learn someone new? And it seems all riot does it release new champions with recycled mechanics and new skins. They are doing nothing to actually improve the game.
