We're happy to continue our series of weekly tournaments dedicated to Dota Underlords in cooperation with /r/Underlords! More information on prizes, rules and how the tournament will be played can be found below.

Registrations are open starting from today (July 18th) and will end Sunday (July 21st) at 17:30 CEST / 08:30 PDT.

The Check-In period will begin as soon as the registration closes at 17:30 CEST / 08:30 PDT. Players who have registered and have received the Tournament Entrant role from admin Hades4u#0754 will have to type "Check In - DOTAFire Username" in the #check-in channel.

The tournament will begin Sunday (July 21st) at 18:00 CEST / 09:00 PDT.

What Can We Win?

The best (3) players will win one of the following prizes:
  1. 25€ (EUR) Steam Wallet & Tournament Winner Flair on r/Underlords and Tournament Winner Role on r/Underlords Discord Server
  2. 15€ (EUR) Steam Wallet
  3. 10€ (EUR) Steam Wallet

How Can We Participate?

  1. You must have a DOTAFire account to be able to register and play. Don't have an account? You can create one here.

  2. Reply to this thread with your Steam Profile URL (example: https://steamcommunity.com/id/gabelogannewell)

  3. Join the official Underlords Discord and ping admin Hades4u#0754 in the #general-chat channel for the Tournament Entrant role.

  4. Check-in the special #check-in channel 30 minutes before the tournament begins by typing "Check In - DOTAFire Username".

  5. Good luck & have fun! :)

How Will The Tournament Be Played?

The minimum number of players for the tournament to take place is 32 and the maximum is 64. The most optimal number of players for the tournament structure is divisors of 8. The tournament will take about 2 - 3 hours depending on the length of the matches.

There will be a total of 3 matches. For 64 players:
  • In the first round, there will be (8) matches with (8) players each. The top (4) players from each match will advance.

  • In the second round, there will be (4) matches with (8) players each. The top (2) players from each match will play in the final.

  • Top (3) from the final match will receive prizes.
Note: The format might differ based on the number of players that are missing.

Once the registrations are closed, the matches will be posted in this thread and announced in the official Underlords Discord server. The player who will create the lobby and have the responsibility to invite the rest of the players will be marked with "H" from Host.

Lobbies will be discussed only in the #lobbies channel so players can find them easily. Players will have 10 minutes from the time of the matches to join the lobbies and start.

If any players do not make it in time, they will be replaced with other players present in the Discord server. If there are players missing in a match, the host must enable bots on Challenging difficulty (they won't be counted as winners, they're only there for balance). Winners must take a screenshot of the victory and post it in the #results channel.

For convenience, it is preferred that you use your DOTAFire username when playing in the tournament on Steam. :)

The fastest way to ask questions or report issues is to contact Hades4u via the official Underlords Discord server.

Fine Print

  • Registration starts today (July 18th) and ends in three days from now (July 21st).

  • The minimum number of players for the tournament to take place is 32 and the maximum is 64.

  • If more than 64 players register, the first 64 players that have registered will play. However, the extra players are free to check-in just in case there are available spots from the players that didn't show up. Don't give up! :)

  • Open to registered DOTAFire members only. Not a member? Register now!

  • Tournament is worldwide, anyone can participate!

  • Prizes are awarded through the Steam gifting system.

  • Winners will be notified after the tournament is over and will have 7 days to claim their prize.

Feel free to ask any questions! If you have any suggestion on how we can improve your competitive experience, please let us know.

Thank you all for joining, good luck and have fun! :D
