You got the wrong idea. It can only reflect damage to the source if he is in 450 AoE around you.

I already know that, I'm wondering whether it still provides the damage block from ranged heroes. You said : Reflect doesn't work outside 450.
You didn't say whether that mean the whole skill, or just the damage reflected, hence meaning the Kraken has a permanent damage block from distant ranged heroes, like a free vanguard.
