Lore

Dane brushed the Stetson to the top of his head, in a vain attempt to block as much of the overwhelming sunlight as possible. The misrule desert was sweltering, yes, but it would take far more than some sun to keep him away from his suspects.

He was a law enforcement agent; a Sheriff, to be precise. His track record was perfect: he had never missed a subject that he was told to apprehend, and those that thought they had escaped tended to catch a bullet in the back of the head from his trusty dual revolvers.

He was tracking an incredibly slippery opponent in this particular instance. This one had gotten away from all other enforcement agents, thus he was called in to do the dirty work.

Dane sighed, resting in the hotel room in preparation for the following investigation when he heard an odd noise by the window. A knif- no. A shiv being removed from it's sheath. Quicker than most eyes could see, a revolver round was shot into the curtains, drawing out the shadowy figure. It wasted no time in pouncing.

The sheriff ducked, rolling underneath the jump and landing a well placed bullet in the figure's leg.

Before he could react, the figure secreted a shadowy mist and quickly ran off.

*One year later*

Dane pushed the familiar Stetson onto his head with the butt of one of his revolvers. He had done it. The fishy looking criminal had been tracked down. Now it was up to him to apprehend the subject.

He always does, in the end.

Skills

Q: Roll (active, short range, target ground)

Dane performs a skilful dodge roll, disjointing most projectiles
and making his next two attacks deal a stacking slow.

Slow(%): 15/20/25/30
Slow duration: 3/3.5/4/4.5
Cooldown: 10/9/8/7
Mana cost: 50

"That woulda been nasty."

W: Hot on your heels (passive, active)

Dane passively gains extra movement speed and armour
when moving towards an enemy hero. He can activate this
ability to gain basic vision of the nearest enemy hero for a
duration.

Passive movespeed: 15/25/35/45
Passive armour: 3/5/7/9
Active vision duration: 3/4/5/6
Cooldown: 20/18/16/14
Mana cost: 75

"All units, we got ourselves a runner. Ah' who am
I kiddin'? I am the only unit.

E: Liberty and Justice (active)

Dane stores charges every few seconds, up to a cap.
He can consume one of these charges to make his
next attack fire both of his weapons at
once against the target, dealing two separate instances of damage
which happen at the same time. Both of these instances can critically
strike and apply Unique Attack Modifiers.[/

Charge cap: 2/3/4/5
Charge refresh duration: 15/13/11/9

"Listen up, young'un, these guns probably
kept y'all safe for a while. Now? I suggest runnin'."

R: High noon showdown (Target enemy hero)

The sheriff draws an enemy into a showdown, where both
players become untargetable, and unable to be affected by
outside sources. On a randomly timed cue (anywhere between
1 and 5 seconds) a different keyboard letter will be shown to
both heroes. The winner deals a massive critical strike to the loser. If
the loser dies from this, the winner gains a gold bounty. If Dane kills
a unit with this,he also cuts the cooldown of this ability in half.

Critical damage: 330%/440%/550%
Gold bounty to winner: 150/200/250
Cooldown: 100/95/90
Mana cost: 150/175/200

"Only thin' waitin' for ya here is death."

wow. very good hero concept. the third skill is somewhat like Geminate Attack.

the second skill must specify if it gives normal vision or true vision.
the range of the first skill must be specified.

but the combination of third skill and ultimate is unbalanced as you will hit twice, dealing more damage than Phantom Assassin's crits, which is OP

I think you need to deal with the triple-post there, mate :P.

But uhh...The ultimate deals a standalone instance of damage, like a single shot. Other abilities can't affect it, as stated in the ability description

I LOVE the ultimate, that would be extremely fun to play with or against. I think you need to lower the passive armor gained from his W, 13 is too high in my opinion. Other than that, great concept and awesome backstory with Slark. All your hero responses are fun as well.
I got to Notable, Thanks!

The (minor) nerfhammer has been dropped.

My problem is with the ult, it is pretty much like Duel but worse, I mean you end you showdowning a 1/2 health crystal maiden while you are only 1/2 hp too, and then said crystal maiden gets the crit and pwns yo butt. It is a cool idea, but a 100 sec cooldown that is purely based on who can hit the button faster seems pretty... un-effective.

It's actually not worse, since you can't have a Mystic Flare reking the person inside.
