Troll Warlord Counter

As the title says, I find it incredibly hard to deal with this thing. Insane attack speed combined with basically any damage item means he can cut down any hero within seconds. I've read that a long stun/disable followed by some good nukes can bring it down, but I was wondering if there is any other way to deal with it that doesn't require having your entire team around you.

I'm pretty sure defensive items like Heart of Tarrasque don't really hold up vs the insane dps, so should I go with something like Shiva's Guard to cut down its attack speed? Or can Blademail work against it to reflect back the damage? Perhaps Heaven's Halberd to disarm it?

the problem with troll right now is that there is no real counter, not in CM atleast.
winter wyvern is probably the best counter with her ult and cold embrace. oracle is decent with his ult saving people and the disarm before troll gets BKB.
you can also try to kite him and limit the time where he can freely rightclick with items like halberd and euls, but that also ends when he gets BKB.

the thing that is so broken about him is that he still just does so much damage without a single damage item.
even in the lategame you only need 1 damage item or just a semi defensive item like butterfly, while the rest of you items just make you tanky, S&Y, skadi satanic.

You counter Troll Warlord the same way you counter Ursa : kiting and disabling.
The only difference is that Ursa is balanced, Troll is not.

Supports are what counter him, not carries, e.g Bane and friends.

He has 100% physical damage --> Omniknight.

Troll's bash deals magical damage if I'm not mistaken.

10% chance of 50 damage is not very impressive. Also, Repel ;)

So you are saying that an ult that can be countered with 3150 gold is a good troll counter?

the best counter is waiting until after April 26th, because that day starladder ends.
