I would try not to complicate things with extra stuff like exceptions. (I'm a hypocrite :P)

As Hades explained already explained:

Strength gives you Max HP and a little HP regen. It does not make your auto attacks stronger.

Intelligence gives you Max MP and a little MP regen. It does not make your spells more powerful, except for being able to use them more often.

Agility gives you Attack Speed and a little Armor.


Heroes can be divided into 3 categories with one of the 3 stats as their 'main' stat. In order to increase your auto attack power, you increase that hero's 'main' stat.

It's fairly obvious what a hero's main stat is; tanks are STR, casters are INT, and fragile glass cannons are AGI.
