It's anticlimactic, it doesn't fit at all into the game. Remember what they said about their policy about adding items? If they don't fit the general feel of the game, they won't add it. They lied. They do everything for money. Techies arcana is the solid proof.
not really....SOLID proof of that.
I don't see how it's anticlimactic. I think it fits fine. Valve is allowed to have a little fun at times, and just because it's not super serious doesn't make it not fit into the game.
I don't enjoy arguing with you, but that statement seems a little...I don't know, pretentious? Is that the word I'm looking for? It seems kinda like "I don't like this arcana, therefore Valve are moneywh**es.".
And can I see the piece of text which officially announces so called Angry birds advertising? Rovio do not own green pigs. It is not a concept you can copyright. It just happens to be a pig-based set that the remote mines are green. If the remotes were gold or etc, they'd still be pigs.
Plus, it's a fine arcana! Adds more than the subject Lina one at any rate. Atleast techies looks majorly different, instead of "Pay £20 for hair and one spell animation". So lina is the ACTUAL Moneygrabbing arcana
Guys do you know why Lina's arcana is so bad when it's compared to other arcanas?
Because it's the first arcana valve ever released.
With it valve tested if something like that would actually make them money and because people liked it, valve decided to make even more arcanas that had even more cool extras.
Tldr: valve used Lina arcana as a test animal to see if it would be smart to implemet more cosmetics like that
That is something valve has been doing with TF2.They used TF2 to see if people at first place would buy cosmetic items for ingame characters.
Master of the hidden art of typoing and the greatest enemy of RNGesus
i saw a reddit thread about it and the main problem i have with it too is the hair, it would be cooler if it was still fire but the actual shape of hair.
there is also a link in the comments to a pic where she has the normal ingame hair but made out of fire, which is a really cool design IMO but apparently it is from a porn......
the link doesnt bring you to any NSFW website, its just imgur, so you can safely click it if you dont mind that there seems to be something on her face......

It's pretty obvious, they don't have to announce it. One of the few reasons is that the pigs are actually green, Techies wear pig hats as well. Why not make it any other color but green? Official? No need for that. Ever heard of subliminal messages?(sort of, it's not the exact same thing). There you have it. It is a good arcana, but I still find it cheap advertising, when Valve clearly stated NOTHING that does not fit the theme of the game goes into the game.
And then they make this one tiny exception with out of A LOT of colors possible, GREEN pigs just like Angry Birds have. Doesn't it seem a tad blatant? Cause it is to me.

I see your point, but I notice that arcanas (unless you give them an inscribed gem) tend to fit the original colour scheme as much as possible? Legion stays red, yellowish, lina is obviously fire, Phantom is still blue...The only exception is TB, actually.
I mean yeah, it's an arcana so they could change the colours, but I think they did so enough with the actual cannon and techies.
Also, why is them wearing those hats too bad?
And what actually IS the theme of the game? Serious battle-to-the-death mage/warrior fights? I mean yeah valve said that, but again that doesn't mean that valve can't make a non-serious arcana for non-serious characters.
Also, I'm willing to bet that Rovio did not even contact or get contacted by valve for this. They just made an arcana with a pig-theme and the remotes happened to be green. I would agree with you more if they made the land mines bird-shaped though.
Sorry that we have differing opinions, but I just like the look of the arcana...I never see it though :/

Yeah, there's similarities, but I think it's coincidence. It's too early to pull off the conspiracy card.
