Poll Question:

Will Na'Vi make it to TI5?
Yes

Natus Vincere (better known as Na'Vi) over the years has become one of the most successful and recognized teams on the DOTA 2 pro scene. However, ever since TI4, the Ukranian club has been in a bit of a funk, having won just one tournament (that being the Dota 2 Champions League Season 4) ever since their 8th place finish in the 2014 installment of the International, which marked the first time in the history of the International that Na'Vi did not play in the tournament's grand final. The struggles of the team have continued into 2015, where they had disappointing performances that led to them failing to qualify for tournaments like ESL Frankfurt 2015, the Summit 3, but even in the tournaments they managed to qualify for, Na'Vi simply couldn't finish the deal which was the case in the DAC back in February.

So, Na'Vi is now about 4 years removed from their triumph over EHome back in the Inaugural edition of The International. Will history be made this year when TI5 ends up becoming the first time Na'Vi failed to even make it to The International or will we have to continue putting up Na'Vi's fan boys?

Na'Vi 's chances are all about their new line up they have played like **** since TI4 but now with a new roster with some great players you have got to give them a chance. They are still a dark horse though

They will.
They know that without na'vi, TI will be different, in a bad way. Their fanbase is too strong and they are not doing too bad either. If they don't make it I'll be so surprised...

daft plz, y u so biased. XD

lets look at EU/CIS teams.

C9, secret, empire, VP, NIP, alliance, probably even HR are all above NAVI right now.
and dont forget that navi hasnt played anything but some qualifier games with their new roster.

i think they still have a pretty good chance to make it in the qualifiers.

I still think that na'vi needs to get invited, I just see it a different way.
Like yeah other teams are doing better than them, but not seeing na'vi WILL create a side effect.

A team that deserves an invite not getting one will create a bigger effect though. Cone on, it would be so obvious too, why would valve risk such reputation damage and community backlash?
Even navi fans will understand that, and its not like there are more navi fans that other fans combined.... It makes no sense in my mind......

Kaipi which later turned into C9 wasnt even invited to the TI3 qualifiers when because they had recent roster changes. Granted the qualifiers were way smaller but it really shows valves policy on the matter.

Alright I'll be more direct with my thoughts.

No na'vi, TI views drop like crazy in russia (mostly due to dendi not being here)

Less views, less fans
Less fans, less money
Plus, it would make a contreversy, like I said earlier.

Other note, Have you watched the documentary F2P with dendi and valve?
It would be so wrong for valve to not invite them... If dendi finds an other team, which he won't, na'vi would not be invited.

Teams should, and hopefully will, only be invited based on merit.

Na'Vi do not deserve a spot at The International currently.

I expect NA'VI to have to go through qualifiers, which they will not win.

Then, last minute, some CIS/Chinese team will drop out due to Visa issue's and NA'VI will be called in as a replacement.

But seriously, i don't think they will be there. Dondo will be, but as a personality.

I just think they have too much ground to make up, they don't deserve an invite (unless they are inviting all previous champions) and i think there are 2 or 3 stronger teams which will also have to go through qualifiers.

That being said, new patch coming out, so if they adapt to it better than others. Patches can make and break teams as much as skill.

This is kinda similar case to Top Gear show. They had to fire Jeremy Clarkson, because he punched a producer. They surely knew that it will drop their income by a lot, but they had to make that decision.

Na'Vi in TI5 would bring a lot of viewers, Valve knows this, but they will invite them on the same rules as the other teams? If the conditions of being invited to TI5 will be the same for all teams, they probably shouldn't be there.

Valve must face the tough choice just as BBC recently had to - rules/(being fair) or more money.
