Thought i would try to get a thread going.

I'm into the pro scene quite a bit. At the minute it's pretty exciting, since the shuffling seems to be done there are a lot of strong teams, and other teams starting to gel and come through.

I am a full blown [A]lliance fanboy. When i started to watch, just before TI4, it was the Swedes i was taken with. Be it that i am obsessed with Zlatan Ibrahiimovic, or my love for Swedish Melodic Death Metal, i don't know but it's them i pinned it on. Just in time as well, as they quickly became ****! Haha

But, with them coming back and a flurry of teams looking strong it looks like this TI could be good one! Well, it cant be worse than TI4...

P.S. For the poll i just took JoinDota's top 10 and added a couple SEA and former TI winners. Sorry if i missed your team!

Oh, the poll doesn't allow more than one option. Sad times.

I follow a lot of teams, mostly western ones (Though I try to stay up to date with the big eastern times like iG and Vici). Probably my favourite teams atm are NiP and Alliance. Secret bore me a little despite being extremely good. Cloud9 are enjoyable because of NoTail being one of my favourite support players in the game. (Along with Misery and Aui_2000). EG are much the same as Secret, but with more Sumail.

Whereas NiP and Alliance are two of the consitently interesting teams I find, what with NiP picking things up like Luna for Era, or Loda going Chaos Knight - Io. That and it's just been more interesting to watch those two teams become good teams from where they were a while ago (Given, I watched a lot of JoinDOTA, due to a dislike for most of BtS's casters, and JoinDOTA do a lot more t3/4 stuff than tier1/2)

But I'm still sad about the fact this will be a TI without TobiwanDOTA as a caster...

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

wat, did i miss something? source?

i dont really follow one team specificly. i like navi because it was the first team i really knew when i started playing, i like IG due to their hyperagressive playstyle, so im really glad ferrari430 can shine again now that he doesnt have to carry luo's lame ***. i also liked vici since the pre TI4 time, but i didnt expect them to do as well in TI4 as they did. and i like the newer roster with iceiceice even more =D

i like NIP, since they are a likeable upcoming team.

i dont really have a team that im rooting for and dont care for regions, IG is probably my favorite chinese team, and in the west i like C9, though its a shame AUI was kicked.

am i the only one who likes the new secret less? n0tail was so damn good on that team. zai just seems to have no personality and he constantly has that dead shark stare. RTZ can be funny but i dont like how we limits teams, and i think secret became weaker because of it.
so my symphathy has shifted from secret to EG, especially with the AUI + universe love story. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9S9GTLdF0s

During one of the VODS not too long ago Capitalist said that Tobi was leaving JoinDOTA to cast CSGO. Which to mean sounded like he wasn't going to cast DOTA anymore, and thus would be unlikely to be a TI caster. It's in part speculation on my part I admit, but it made it said anyway.

I personally still think the new Secret is really good, it's just slightly less versatile with it's cores than it used to be. Zai might not be that likable, but he's incredibly good, and makes so many plays. The bigger issue they had was that they became really reliant on Puppey's junglers, which got punished, and they just had nothing to make up for it (At DAC at least)

He said on his Twitter that he will still be casting DOTA. He's just adding Counter Strike to his repertoire.

I am a Cloud 9 fan, though I also like Ninjas in Pyjamas.

P.S. The poll says Could9.

Haha, i was suspecting that was what would make you think that XD.
He hasnt left dota, he was casting some CSGO and didnt at dota during that week, so it became a kind of joke about how he would leave dota :P
He is casting navi alliance right now.

Well that thing with old secret was that the enemy just had to ban 2 notail heroes, and then they had to deal with a lot of other heroes that they were go with.
It seems they are picking more diverse heroes now, but RTZ is kind of known to play only 3 heroes mainly.

Zai is an incredible player. He has an enormous hero pool too, and has shown his versatility playing the 4 role for Evil Geniuses previously, and now the 3 role for Team Secret.

Secret. I've been a Puppey & Kuro fanboy since I started playing. Other teams I really enjoy are VG, iG and EG.
