Recently i've taken back to playing riki, and noticed something i never did about that hero when i played him when i first started.His mana usage in early game 7-20min is so drastic, the way i play him. I could never go more than 2 ganks without running out of mana.

So, i replaced poor man's shield with roa, and found mana sustain much easier. Now my riki build goes something like this:
Wraith band + tango at start-> roa-> threads-> diffusal-> situationals(yasha, basher, etc)

I just wanted to know what you guys think about using this build and any problems that might occur.

It's basically like mine.

You can also consider sth like Tango + 3 Iron Branches + Ring of Protection if you are running offlane

Quickly get that Magic Wand and Ring of Basilius

I sometimes didnt upgrade my RoB to RoA, cause

I like roa better because it gives alot at a cheaper price, and is more reliable. Magic wands give a quick burst but is extremely dependant on enemy using spells. I generally never get magic wands unless i'm up against a spell spammer like bb or sky

Do NOT delay Diffusal Blade. No matter what.

Also, since Riki is a ganker, you should try Bottle. Get it after diff.

Wait, is "ROA" Ring of Aquila or Rod of Atos?

With this build, i usually get diffusal around 12-15min. If i went poor mans shield, i usually get diffusal around 15-20min because i keep needing to go back to fountain to regen.

Is that timing ok?

I think Atos is better on riki. Slow him then smoke him, proceed to kill him.

More mana for smoke, and more HP.
