My guide to drafting and general lineup strategy is finally done.

I had some trouble with the formatting port, as I had texts on different devices, etc. Will take a little longer than I though it would. Not much more than a week, I hope. You will be getting that guide.

I have to reformat over 30 word document pages worth of guide, so be patient.

The full guide is still on development, as you may think (its a pretty massive guide). But certainly moving forward.

Sorry for the extra week, I was on holidays.

Act X: It All Comes Together in the End

Her rage had burnt down to smouldering ashes but her hatred remained a blazing inferno.

It had taken the two another day to reach the Dire Ancient, and over that time, Lanaya had seethed. She could never bring herself to forgive Arash for what he had done. To think she had once pitied him. She could picture it already, him bleeding, broken on the ground, in hundreds of pieces. The image was burnt on her brain. It was justified, but more than that-

It was… glorious.

He would burn- no. She would drag him before the Hidden Ones and enact their lethal judgement. Painfully, of course. But no less honourably.

She could see the walls of the fortress in the distance, and wondered what Arash was planning.

"Oh, of course!" he said suddenly. "You're my prisoner now, aren't you?"

He turned around, drawing Orchid Malevolence and striking her with it. The staff struck her on the arm, and its silencing effe…

Hello fellow Dotafire members.

in a Lull of writing while my Manu (manuscript) gets edited and feeling like "eh i cbf starting on book 3" i thought, in my current mental state of boredom, i should maybe start a blog series on my thoughts concerning our beloved game.

Mostly this series will be about certain situations and how they relate to real life. I expect there will be some existential musing on the theory of all and maybe some raging at scrubs or just personal thoughts relating to my everyday life. In fact this series will be me just talking about everything and anything while relating it all to Dota. If that seems like something you guys would love to read then throw down some comments and thoughts and DISCUSSION SHALL ARISE, like a Aegis holding Enigma.

I recently have been playing Juggernaut a fair bit and it was after a match where i dominated sometimes and fed in others i thought to watch the game back and see where i went wrong or where i went right? or left?

It was dur…

So, your team decided to pick an AFK jungler and you have only 1 support...there's a good reason almost every pro team always runs 2 supports...here's what you give up:

A trilane for your carry

This may or may not be an issue, depending how many heroes the opposition puts against your safe lane, and how good they are at looking after themselves. If you're running a hard carry like Spectre, especially against another dual lane, don't expect them to be getting epic farm though.

Mid Tangos

One support is unlikely to be able to get more than 1 set for regen, and will likely have to do without a Healing Salve. If they've got a relatively easy lane, they might be able to afford to give you 1 Tango. You might have to buy some yourself.

Detection and TPs to mid / offlane

A biggee. Each hero gets 625 starting gold, and 100 per minute income without last hits, assists or jungle creeps. That means our sole support likely has about 1700 gold in the first ten minutes without assists,…

Hello everyone, BK here. So I started writing some lore for my next hero idea in my spare time but as I continued writing it I realized that it seemed to be becoming less lorey (I just made up that word) and more like a short story so I decided to start posting my short stories that I come up with in a blog I call "The Adventures of the Keen." I am going to be posting these short stories as I come up with them, but hopefully as soon as possible. So please enjoy the first volume of The Adventures of the Keen.

At the Gates of the Deep Ones

“Extraordinary!” Exclaimed the keen expedition leader, a particularly heavy set man by the name of Dorin. The sight he was beholding was farther beneath the surface of the Miracle Sea than any of his kind had been before. The gate to The Kingdom of the Deep Ones. No keen had ever been this close to the gates of the Deep Ones and survived. Of course the new state of the art cloaking field he had installed was designed for that very purpose. …

I feel that this might be a good idea for me.

To push, what otherwise would be internally processed, outwards.

to release, something that is personal, publicly.

Dota 2 is an amazing game. On the surface it has a basic principle, but when you slowly drag back its outer petals it unfurls into a game of such incredible complexity that the more you play, the more you discover, the more you want to play.

The higher level's of it can be used to train for processed strategic thought, you find yourself, not only looking at 5 factors of one hero but at 20 differing factors that can interact with another 20 factors. This ultimate web of interconnected information is like a deep deep pool of clear water, of which you are at the bottom, every stroke bringing you closer to the top where the light is stronger, it illuminating even more of your surrounds ...yet by doing so it makes you want to climb higher to see more of what surrounds you.

The lower levels can be used for reflex cognitive pathw…

Pro Pub Player's Perfectly Perturbed Plebs.

Hey ho, peasants. The lord of Pub games has arrived once more to introduce you to the mind-numbing events that occur in the wonderful world of Dota 2.

Today I have a special treat for you, as this is one of those times when it's a whole cluster**** of failure. Not by me though. Nah. Never by me.

Rule #1 of this series: none of the fails displayed here are ever my fault. Ever. Don't even consider it.

On with the story!

All was quiet in the hero selection screen. Not a single person was making a sound, trying desperately to find the hero they wanted to fail at- I mean play. Eventually the enemy got the first pick, and a Russian by the name of *Insert Russian characters here* instalocked a Pudge. Always a good sign.

I was gifted the godlike power of the second pick. Do I counterpick the pudge for an easy lane? Do I set the course for the rest of the picks? Infinite choices, packed into a 40 second segment. I needed to decide. The fate of t…

I am feeling kind of off on the crafting of the full guide.

For the time being I will be working on a different guide, more focused on a certain concept/learning material. Wont tell you what it is, but you will know when you see it.

I do hope you have some interest in politics or these next few Acts may get a bit confusing.

Act IX: A New Order

"It was just over a week ago when they came."

Vanath had taken Abaddon straight to Castle Avernus, its looming edifice belying the unusual emptiness. Given the insolence Kanthis had shown on the road, Abaddon could guess in part what had happened. The castle itself was unchanged, its titanic black stone walls pocketed with small windows, save the wall in which was set the massive gate. The mountain it was set upon appeared as impregnable as ever, the parapets of the castle allowing defenders to fire arrows or drop oil on any foolish enough to climb up. The only true entrance was through the gate, which was a fortified structure bristling with ballistae, catapults and cannons created by ancient magi that spewed imploding orbs of black mist itself onto attacking fortresses. The seven circles of walls and towns could house tens of thousands and store food to last for months.…
