Undying discussion?

anyone here a current DotA player? any of you play undying
he is all i care about seeing right now. before i got into LoL he was all i played and i loved his uber mega pushes from way back

so any of yall know what undying is like right now in DotA 1? is he any good or are my hopes going to be dashed =/

Still a good pusher, but he just doesn't really have one of the main roles (Carry, Support, Nuker, Initiator, Ganker). The closest he can land is a Nuker.

Though his Q still absorbs a good amount of strength if they pile up, his W is weaker than it used to be, but can still heal or nuke for a good amount, his E no longer makes as many zombies as fast under the monument and his ultimate I always felt was lackluster, but can be good in a large team fight where he doesn't get focused down.

So in reality, I would kind of sway against him, though he is still decent. Definitely not in the top 50 heroes though.

I love Undying, and I can't wait to see what he's like in Dota2. I think he's a really underrated hero in the original Dota as I've seen him do really well in pubs and in-houses. Early game Decay is extremely strong as you take most of the little STR that all heroes have early game which can deplete their health to 300 - 500. Against INT heroes this is especially true.

He works well as a great pusher too because of his Tombstone of course, and he's also a support/nuker through his Soul Sap (I think it's called that). But in my opinion what makes him so so so useful is his Ulti (esp. in teamfights). It makes you tank as you take hp from any creeps or heroes that die around you + you can decay at least 3 heroes to get a lot of STR. You slow everyone around you, and enhance all the damage dished out by you AND your team mates. Basically, you're the difference between winning the fight and chasing down the stragglers after. Plus with your tombstone you become a ganker as you block people, ult, slow them, decay, team mate or you nukes, decay, nuke = dead.

Anyway, I hope he's as good as this in Dota 2, and from looking at the championship replays all the heroes are very much the same so he should be. I'll be looking forward to surprising people with Undying. He's all rounder, like me :p

I play Pit + undying for 6 minute, tier 2 tower.

I don't play him, but I'll give him a try when I get back to playing DOTA.

the whole time through the tourny i was wondering why there wasn't a single undying ever i gave up on watching the livestreams cuz it looked pretty bleak and all i cared to see was him
